Tesco Easter Delivery slots

I’ve just got an email saying the slots will open soon but I may have to wait in a virtual queue due to high demand. I think I’ll skip on the two hour ‘wait’ like at Christmas and if I don’t get one immediately I’ll take my custom elsewhere. Anyone else not bothering?

Their CS is so crap I've switched to Waitrose

This is interesting because a vulnerable shielding friend was let down at Christmas by Waitrose, despite being on their list and having a weekly delivery. They released their Christmas slots early, without warning and open to all - no priority to the vulnerable relying completely on them. She was left without a slot for the whole of the pre-Christmas week and had also saved vouchers she then couldn't spend. All credit to Tesco who helped. I wonder if Waitrose will handle Easter and next Christmas any better? Even their own CS were complaining about it. It shocked me and her experience of Sainsbury's was even worse - I had found Waitrose very good and Sainsbury's good in the past.

Thanks MN - am a priority holder but didn't get an email from Tesco but just managed to book my easter slot.

I've stopped using Tesco delivery due to the problems getting a slot and have changed to Morrison's click & collect which is free and I have no problem getting a slot for the next day.

I'll be honest, I've found Tesco excellent this year - I started off with them as I was shielding and they were the first to give me priority. I'm no longer shielding but signed up to the delivery saver and I've been really pleased with them. Hardly any substitutions and nearly always got everything I want.

Tesco have been great throughout the pandemic for me. I've used them for decades and never had any problems to speak of.

Seems there's not been such a rush on their slots as at Christmas - I checked at 7.45 this morning and found plenty.

Completely forgot about this earlier but just logged on and there are loads of slots all week so booked my normal weekly one.
Glad that was easier than Christmas!

I've just checked and it's only showing slots up until 22 March. Mind you there were a few available.

They show up to then for non delivery pass holders. Its only pass holders that get the extra slots
