What does your life revolve around?

Just talking to my OH and he said how our lives revolve around food more than anything else... When asked what it could be he said a hobby, exercising etc.

We have a DC so obviously she comes first. But am I the only one to think my life probably does revolve around food otherwise?!

What does your life revolve around?

I do work part time, study full time and am a healthy weight so there's no health issues/laziness issues - I don't think. But I don't have a 'hobby'

Worrying about politics / feminism.
Work.
Food.

MrsToadlike · 25/02/2021 15:17

DC
Food
Work
Pets
Husband
My house and garden
Wider family
Friends

This has given me a bit of a kick up the backside, my husband should be higher up that list. And my wider family too.

Good thread to start OP

Cooking and eating (it's a hobby, really!)
Gaming

AndOffFlewMyLastFuck · 25/02/2021 15:26

Food and exercise
But mostly food
I used to love trying different recipes each week but now cooking has become a bit of a chore as there's nothing else to focus on

When i'm going to be able to take a nap!

And caring for young DC / endless laundry.

When I think about it seriously, my daughter.

But worst part was, the 1st thing that popped into my head was my plants.

User1511 · 25/02/2021 15:36

My husbands work schedule. Then the kids / pets. Then food for sure. Love food.

Ori21 · 25/02/2021 15:42

The kids. Feeding everyone. Including the husband. Cooking meals comes in pretty high on the list - I generally batch cook, we're all vegetarian so I'll do a bout of cooking over 2 days and then we're sorted for the week.

Planning the year's UK-based holidays. (I enjoy doing this!)

Running the financial side of the "family business." I do this - monthly food budgeting, bill payments, childcare payments, savings accounts for the kids. I'm pretty good at financial planning so I do enjoy this. I keep very tight track of income & expenditure.

Weekend trips out (to the local park in crap weather,) or further afield to NT places when the weather's good and lockdown restrictions allow. We often meet up with friends when we go out for the day to a National Trust place.

Haha yes we always seem to be aiming towards the next time we can eat, too 😂. We do have a hobby usually so that and family would be more of a focus, but there's not much we can do about either of those at the moment.

Strokethefurrywall · 25/02/2021 16:05

Food
Exercise
Kids

The order changes depending on day but top of the list is always food.
