My 22yr old dd has challenged me to recall a snack she used to enjoy as a child. She claims it was called 'Scooby Snack' it may well have been a dog treat
She says it was a small, crunchy breadstick like snack, possibly with a dry tomato/herb flavour baked into it. It came in small bags like a packed lunch biscuit multipack. She has sent me an illustration which I have hopefully added.

Can any of you helpful lot solve this mystery?

Please help me find this snack.

Ella's Kitchen tomato and leek melty puffs.

IstandwithJackieWeaver · 25/02/2021 16:59

They sound like wotsits. Not the right kind of thing. I have a vague memory of them. Are niknaks still around? They used to do a scampi flavour and a Worcester sauce one too.

@PivotPivotPivottt

The thing I'm thinking of is flat though rather than round like a breadstick.
Yes I think you may be thinking of the right thing, they were flattened

They were Scooby-Doo Mini Pizza Breadsticks which stopped being sold they were too high on salt (I don't know why they just didn't reduce the salt Confused) I can't find a picture

Sounds like the pizza sticks you got with dairylea dunkers to me, although they were more like a couple of inches long. I was gutted when they stopped making them!

rbe78 · 25/02/2021 17:14

They remind me of Arnotts Shapes - classic Ozzie snack - but the shape might not be quite right:

Nope, none of these, thanks for trying

Shamelessly place marking as I swear I can remember these and cannot think for the life of me what they were called.

Thats the dunkers I was talking about! But not the snack I was originally thinking of.

JovialNickname · 25/02/2021 18:37

I remember them, like mini breadsticks but shorter and flat, more like an oval. They were called pizza something, and I think Phileas Fogg made them too.

MindGrapes · 25/02/2021 18:44

3/4 inch is tiny so presumably you might eat several at a time, like those little cheese savoury biscuits that are different shapes ?

DishedUp · 25/02/2021 18:51

I definitely remember this, but now I'm wondering if I'm remembering the pizza dairylee

This sounds hopeful....

I think I remember the ones you mean. If so, Waitrose sundried tomato bites are very similar.

She says this sounds like them, does anyone else remember them - or even better, have a picture?

Jumping on quite late, they were in I believe a purple box/bag from what I remember when I used to have them - they were like a pizza kind of taste and yeah, panini shaped, I constantly had them all the time with my school lunch, everyone including me around the time were obsessed with the flipping things but I can't quite remember exactly the full name but it was definitely Scooby Doo related I know that for certain no doubt about it.

bethanyprowse · 11/02/2023 13:24

Found an article just no image to go with unfortunately they were literally as I thought they were called... "Scooby Doo Mini Pizza Breadsticks"

caseyebzueue3737 · 01/08/2024 00:04

I remember this too!!
