I really like Rich Tea biscuits dipped in tea.

Today I dipped them in hot milk (which I also really like) - and they were revolting
😯.

I'm perturbed.

what did they taste like?

Crinkle77 · 24/02/2021 23:00

Have you seen Simon Rimmer's method of dunking Rich Tea in to his tea as invented by his mate Dave? He dunks 2 at a time!

goldfishblub · 24/02/2021 23:01

I always wonder why it's not common to see a recipe for rich tea biscuits to make at home. Weird.

ShaunaTheSheep · 24/02/2021 23:02

The answer is in the name of the biscuit surely?

Maybe try malted milk with your hot milk?

cunexttime · 24/02/2021 23:03

If you have to dunk rich tea in tea and malted milk in milk then that would mean dunking custard creams in either custard or cream, dunking bourbons in bourbon...

Corolla · 25/02/2021 00:01

@zeitgeista I don't know how to describe it other than they were revolting - something about the taste was sicky!

I'll volunteer to try the bourbons dunked in bourbon ... :)

I love a rich tea biscuit in my tea. I also like a digestive biscuit in my tea.

Blueuggboots · 25/02/2021 00:05

Abernathy biscuits dipped in hot milk are lovely.

Corolla · 25/02/2021 00:08

I've never heard of Abernathy biscuits - I thought I was an expert in all things biscuit related!

Digestives dipped in apple juice
Chocolate hobnobs dipped in orange juice
Bourbon biscuits dipped in milk.

ParkheadParadise · 25/02/2021 00:42

One of my siblings used to dip the crusts from her toast in her tea😂😂

Tankflybosswalkjam · 25/02/2021 00:46

Well you’ve gone against the forces of nature so what do you expect?

noblegiraffe · 25/02/2021 00:48

Ginger nuts are the biscuit to dunk in tea.

Hot milk is rank, maybe your rich tea caught that disgusting skin that forms on it?

cantgetmyheadroundit · 25/02/2021 00:52

I dip halves of hot buttered toast in my tea!

Don't know who that is but I've done that for at least 30 years!

Luffsmypup · 25/02/2021 03:03

@cantgetmyheadaroundit I like to dip buttered toast in my tea ...... and also in a hot milky coffee.

AnotherCovidQuestion · 25/02/2021 03:48

Try really cold milk with rich tea biscuits. Seriously lush! If you fill your mouth with biscuit then add cold milk and suck hard, then crunch, it's amazing. And really, really filling! Great snack for nighttime tiredness hunger!

joystir59 · 25/02/2021 03:52

A child I knew dipped Spam and ketchup sandwiches in her tea.

Slippersandacuppa · 25/02/2021 04:40

When I was little, one of my favourite things was pizza crusts dipped in milk...

Slippersandacuppa · 25/02/2021 04:42

Ooh, and have you tried using chocolate fingers as a straw when drinking tea? Bite the ends of, dip and suck. Amazing.

Am now rethinking my adult decision of being vegan.

Caramelwhispers · 25/02/2021 05:01

Mug of horlicks with rice krispies on top, it's gorgeous. I've totally outed myself now as everyone who knows me knows I do this! Grin Hello Jane < waves at best mate >

Caramelwhispers · 25/02/2021 05:03

I'm looking for a palm oil free rich tea brand because McVities use palm oil & their rich tea tastes rank now.

Longdistance · 25/02/2021 05:21

Horlicks, that’s what I need I’m my life. I might actually be able to fall asleep .
Back to biscuits. I dunk every biscuit I eat, I don’t care what type, every single one gets dunked. My favourite types are the ones covered in chocolate, and the chocolate just melts in your mouth. Love watching Sunday Brunch on C4 when they select the best and worst biscuit. Actually, no biscuit should be the worst, they’re all great.

MiniTheMinx · 25/02/2021 05:27

Ginger biscuits dunked in chai latte mmm

ShaunaTheSheep · 25/02/2021 06:33

Shortbread dipped in Baileys
