What will make me cry?

I feel like I need a really good cry to get it out my system.

I am not a crier. I really dislike films or programmes designed to make you cry. I'm more emotional about true stories than fictional stories

What can I watch?

Remains of the day. Anthony Hopkins as CS Lewis sobbing with his young step son when the wife dies. I was in quite a jolly mood when that same I’m just before Christmas but was properly sobbing at that.

MsTSwift · 15/02/2021 23:33

Orla Guerin’s report from Yemen on PM on Radio4 tonight (15th) had me tearing up over the dinner tonight and I’m also not really a crier.

Yup - every single episode I cry!

I also cry during every break of another show I watch as they put an advert for a kids grief charity on during every break. DP thinks it’s cute/hilarious how upset I get, as I’m generally quite tough but this advert gets me every time, several times a night if we’re binge watching it!

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 16/02/2021 00:56

Coco, not usually a crier but this film has me every time. Also Toy Story 3 & Inside Out. Bit of a theme here...

ClaryFairchild · 16/02/2021 01:49

On Netflix- "If Anything Happens I Love You" - it's a short animated film created by parents mourning their daughter who died in a school shooting.

UnaLength · 16/02/2021 02:00

Ricky Gervais' monologue as Andy Melman in the Big Brother house, last episode of Extras always gets me.

worried3012 · 16/02/2021 02:09

I watched Hachi - a dogs tale at the weekend. I sobbed my heart out.

QuestionableMouse · 16/02/2021 02:11

It's fiction but the Art of Racing in the Rain always makes me cry. And as a rule, I don't cry much at all.

Rainbows89 · 16/02/2021 02:24

The Notebook made me bawl my eyes out. I can’t remember what it was about!

Also, the start of Up.

Also Iris.

Weirdfan · 16/02/2021 02:25

Just google 'soldiers coming home' and click on any YouTube link with 'emotional' in the title. You're welcome Smile

FredaFlintstone · 16/02/2021 02:44

The boy in the striped pyjamas.

endlesssnow · 16/02/2021 02:46

We have just watched 4 weddings and I was surprised at how tearful the funeral scene left me.

lunar1 · 16/02/2021 02:54

Download All My Life. It's based on a true story about a couple and a cancer diagnosis. I'll put a link to the trailer.

There is no way you can't cry at this.
