We don’t know any others in real life! I’m struggling today so I thought I’d do a light hearted post about greyhounds and how wonderfully quirky they are :)
We adopted our handsome boy in august after wanting one for years. We lost our beloved schnauzer in January last year and decided in August the time was right. We went to the kennels and he was one of three greyhounds we walked. He was the second hound we walked and I knew within minutes he was the one for me 
He has truly healed my heart.
I love the bear grunt noises he makes when he’s asleep (even at 3am). I love his goofy teef and his crooked tail and the way his paws smell like popcorn. I love that he’s never lived in a house before let alone lived with children, yet he snuggles up to my kids like a big teddy. I love that he is Shadow Dog and never leaves my side (even when I’m tripping over him while trying to cook the dinner).
I can’t wait for when restrictions are lifted a bit and my local greyhound charity can resume their monthly walks so he can have some buddies. And so I can book the new dog exercise field and let him run til his heart is content. I can thank him for the fact I’m getting fake grass laid in spring (he has turned our back garden into Glastonbury after a very wet weekend)
