Bizarre food combos?!

Sat here eating lasagne spread over some potato waffles for lunch and it's got me thinking about all the weird food combos I love and curious as to whether anyone has any stranger?

Some of my favourites include:

Ham and marmite on toast
Sausages and mayonnaise
Scrambled eggs with gravy granules
Grapes and hummus
Olives and Camembert on toast

Any advances?

Ready salted crisps with a sliced pickled egg. Or sliced pickled onion. Anything pickled basically. The food of gods!

Sliced pickled cucumbers with baked beans

Salad cream pour into instant mash. Well something has to improve the flavour!

Ready salted walkers crisps with broken up KitKats over them. So good 😋

Wholemeal wrap, spread with peanut butter, topped with grated carrot, cucumber in thin strips and drizzled with sweet chilli sauce. Wrap and eat. SO GOOD

I want it now.

Also butter on stuff. Slice of cheese? Butter it. Crisps? Dip them in butter. Butter just improves everything!

That wrap sounds amazing! Very Thai like.

I agree with you on butter. It does make everything taste much better. I just had peanut butter on toast, and the butter on the toast makes the peanut butter much creamier. I also love cream crackers spread with butter and a slice of strong cheddar mmmm!

Beef stew and dumplings smothered in golden syrup 😌 main and pudding all on one plate!

Hummus and marmite sandwiches.

Malt. Classic sarsons. Not too much. Just a dash or two. It’s like a chemical reaction that makes it all taste soooooo much better!

Let me introduce... The baked potato sandwich.

Cooked in microwave, sliced, thick layer of butter on one slice of white bread, cheese on other, drizzle with salad cream.

Digestive biscuits with cream cheese.

I saw someone recommend blackberries and pesto on a homemade pizza on Instagram which I can't imagine liking one bit but would like to try it

Ready salted crisps with Smarties or chocolate buttons mixed inside

Peanut butter, cheese and branston pickle sandwiches

White bread toasted, buttered whilst it's still warm, layer watsits on top, pour spaghetti or baked beans over (spaghetti works better) top with grated cheese and whack under the grill or in the microwave until the cheese is all melty and bubbly. Delicious!!

I excelled myself this morning with raw chestnut mushrooms sprinkled with chinese 5 spice eaten with baguette bread. Very nice.

Raw onion and baked bean sandwich’s

This one is outside my realms of adventure

Shredded white cabbage cooked with lemon curd, totally delicious.

Bacon and beetroot (not pickled) sandwich.

Tuna Mayo mixed with crushed cheese and onion crisps then spreaded on 2 thickly buttered slices of white toast. Yum!

Spaghetti Shepards pie.

Heinz Spaghetti with sausages with a layer of mash potato on the top and a generous sprinkly of cheese, baked in the over for 30 mins. Works with beans too.

I had a partner who used to make a mint sauce sandwich! He claimed it was delicious
