@CoffeeBeansGalore I’m a sucker for animals too, as you can probably tell! My Labrador came from a Mumsnet thread a few years back. There was a poor lady locked in her bedroom hiding from her pissed husband with her kids. She had managed to get a place in a refuge but had nowhere safe to leave her pets. So I ended up collecting the dog and a rabbit the next day! They were meant to be fostered, but haven’t gone yet!

Well yes I’d stand a chance at the Baileys challenge .

No shiny I haven’t heard from her for two years. She was obviously very secretive about where she was going. And someone else on Mumsnet recognised her and tried to warn her husband. She changed her number and left Mumsnet. It was all very sad. The dog was a nervous wreck at first, I think he’d got in between them and been battered a few times. He used to bark at all men. Nowadays he just barks at the odd one, and they’re always about 5’10 and bald, so I think the husband probably looked like that.
