Have you ever received a M&S flower delivery? 🌺

Thinking of sending some to my Mum.
What were they like? Beautiful and fresh or dead and wilting?
Mixed reviews online.
Any particular bouquets that were a success?
Are there any you would avoid?

And a day 5 photo of the Scilly Isles Flowers. You get a lot for your money and they smell divine.

Bloom and Wild, every time. Their customer service is amazing. I enquired about a Condolence card in French and had a prompt reply but didn't order until 3 weeks later, and had manually adapted a New Mum bouquet as we also wanted to send a bear to the bereaved child. They contacted me to check the details and the agent said she'd been down to dispatch herself to make sure there was nothing New Mum related in the box (a stray ribbon or whatever). They then checked back again with me after delivery to make sure I was happy.

Have used them loads since and zero issues. Also sent the mini Christmas trees last year that are now in pots and growing happily.

The planted orchids from M&S are particularly good IME. I’ve sent many bouquets from them and Waitrose over the years and always had good feedback but as someone said, the recipients might not always be honest if they’re being polite.

Local florists are often good but probably closed at the moment and not in the OP’s case.

Thank you for all of your responses and for the photos inmylife! Not bad at all after 5 days!
I know the bouquets aren’t the same ones but whenever M&S have a new delivery (rather than the ones that have been hanging around for a few day) in store the flowers are so fresh & beautiful and I have bought them many times.
So, I guess they arrive at people’s houses just as fresh...

Those of you who have been pleased- can you remember which ones you were sent?

My words are all jumbled up in my last post! You get what I mean! 😂

Two relations of mine have received them, one for Mothers Day and one for Christmas and neither of them were very happy with the condition they arrived in. I sent a bouquet to a very fussy Aunt with Morrisons Boxes and they lasted nearly three weeks. The colours were lovely and she was really pleased with them.

In September last year my husband’s cousin sent me these flowers from Bloom & Wild, they arrived on 15th September, this photo is from 29th September, they lasted ages Flowers

Yes, and sent them, and sadly I've had both experiences. TBH I'd always be a little bit nervous that they might send dying flowers, although I'm sure they normally don't.

Yesterday I had a M and S delivery of flowers..3 bunches of mixed roses.Huge amount of packaging and the wrong message card put in it! The week before I had the most beautiful tulips delivered from Bloom and Wild and OMG simply stunning, they came most beautifully wrapped with the bulbs intact so you could plant them out, they are amazing and there is an offer on at the moment for 10, pounds off your first order,,,the most beautiful flowers I have ever recieved and going strong they look amazing. The m and S ones were nice but just nice and slightly disappointing.

HazelBite · 24/01/2021 15:41

Bit mixed results from M&S sometimes okay and others not so.
I now use Serenata flowers and find them generally good.

Goodbye2020Hello2021 Thank you, I sent her a text to ask where she ordered them, I thought it was M&S but my husband said it wasn’t, he was the one who unwrapped them & put them in a Vase. A friend of mine has a big birthday coming up & this thread has given me the idea of sending her some Flowers, from Bloom & Wild Flowers

LizFlowers · 24/01/2021 18:44

Yes and lovely!

Goodbye2020Hello2021 · 24/01/2021 20:11

The bloom and wild flowers do look lovey if a little ‘rustic’ but I’ve been looking at reviews on trust pilot and I think I’ll give them a miss.
I’m going to chance M&S .
I’ve bought next flowers in the past and they were unbelievably nice but latest designs are also a bit ‘wildflower’. Maybe I’m not just with it enough!! 😅

I bought these for my DM's birthday earlier this week. They were £5 off, plus free next day delivery. She absolutely loved them, and had no issue with transferring them to a vase at her end. They were delivered by Yodel, so I'm not exactly sure how they were packed when they arrived.

I use bloom and wild a lot for work and home, never any complaints
I’ve sent my mum bloom and wild flowers in a vase and as a bouquet
The bouquet at Christmas was attached to the box in ribbon, it was very secure and easy to remove
I have used M&S flowers with no issue, like a pp said the gift label is on the box so can be missed
Avoid apple yard flowers like the plague, on two occasions they sent dead flowers, customer service was awful, I was promised new flowers, never came, they weren’t interested

Labobo · 24/01/2021 23:44

I was sent some last autumn. Absolutely stunning and lasted for ages. I often send them to other people and have always had polite rather than overwhelmed responses which has made me wonder if they weren't that great. But the ones I got were s fresh and gorgeous, Carefully packaged. I find Bloom and Wild's flowers look a bit crushed and tired by the time they've been shoved through the letterbox.

Goodbye2020Hello2021 · 26/01/2021 08:24

I have ordered these ones! Hopefully they will be as nice as in the photo! 🤞🏻

@Goodbye2020Hello2021 - those were the ones a friend sent me and they were stunning.

SirVixofVixHall · 26/01/2021 10:45

I had a lovely scented bouquet that my best friend sent me from Marks and Spencer , lasted well and the scent was great. So I have used them to send to others.

That’s great! I really hope the ones I sent are as nice as the picture!!

The M&S flowers I've had delivered have always been consistently good compared to the mixed bag of local florists I've used

FlyingByTheSeatof · 26/01/2021 22:06

They should be as nice as in the photo unless there's some kind of issue with flower deliveries due to brexit and covid

That’s the thing... florists seem to adore chrysanthemums, daisies & carnations.

Here anyway. Even the ‘boutique’ florists.
