Have you ever received a M&S flower delivery? 🌺

Thinking of sending some to my Mum.
What were they like? Beautiful and fresh or dead and wilting?
Mixed reviews online.
Any particular bouquets that were a success?
Are there any you would avoid?

Whenever I send flowers I always use them, everyone I have sent some to have been very pleased with them.
Sadly it's been a few years since I have been sent any flowers Hmm

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/01/2021 10:26

I've had a few that have lasted ages. The box they come in is absolutely enormous though, and seems wasteful.

Goodbye2020Hello2021 · 24/01/2021 10:28

These look nice...

I sent my grandparents a hamper this Christmas with some roses in and they were gorgeous! Perfect condition.

I sent my MIL flowers this week. I usually use Next, M&S or Bloom and Wild however this time I contacted her local florist who did a much bigger, far nicer bouquet for a similar price. She was absolutely over the moon with them. I’d see if there’s a local florist open near your mum, tbh.

LApprentiSorcier · 24/01/2021 10:35

Yes - they were lovely and lasted ages as I recall.

Goodbye2020Hello2021 · 24/01/2021 10:36

I’ve ordered from the local florists in the past the fairy but have always been disappointed.

I posted this upthread
I’ve used local florists in the past but they used so many cheap horrible filler flowers.
Also very expensive.

I tried specifying the flowers I wanted using the content list for an M&S bouquet and was quoted £86!!!

Which ones do you all like from the pictures above?

Have quite often sent to my dm and she’s always been delighted

raeray · 24/01/2021 10:39

I almost always use bunches.co.uk for years now and always get positive feedback from people I send them to.

CEBT · 24/01/2021 10:40

Last week I got flowers sent to me from moonpig, bloom and wild and M & S. The moonpig ones weren't great, some of the flowers were already dying when they arrived. The bloom and wild ones are really good but as others have said you put them together yourself so I wouldn't send them to someone elderly. The M&S ones were really lovely. I would definitely send them to friends and family. They looked nice as soon as they came and lasted a long time . However, I do agree that it is hard to find who they are from! It was written at the bottom of the box and not on a card or anything which is a bit weird!

I like the pink and white roses in your first set of pics and the white roses in your last pic. The white would have the advantage of going with any room decor.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/01/2021 10:47

Yes. They have always been lovely. Bloom and Wild are good too.

I do too! I know I’d be really happy to get any of them myself - as long as they aren’t dead!!!

Yes! I got a delivery two weeks ago and they were stunning!! They lasted over a week too. They came with no water (some eco way to travel them) - I made a mental note to buy them for myself at some point.

myfatiguehastiredness · 24/01/2021 10:55

Used them several times and flowers are always fine.

thefishthatcouldwish · 24/01/2021 10:57

Mum had lots from MandS after death of dad during lockdown one.

They were good quality and delivered on time.

Jaxhog · 24/01/2021 10:57

M&S are very nice. So is Serenata, and they often have offers on.

Wishitsnows · 24/01/2021 11:01

Had lots from M&S always really good.

wowfudge · 24/01/2021 11:02

I've had issues sending a planted arrangement with M&S. The delivery driver (Yodel I think) literally threw it around. And the replacement my bereaved friend was sent when I complained. I won't use them again and use Waitrose when I want easy online ordering. Otherwise, contact a local florist direct. The ones local to me are operating for telephone and email orders it's just that their shops aren't open.

SugarCoatIt · 24/01/2021 11:02

We sent to DH Granny one Christmas, visited her some 3 days later and I was beyond disappointed with them, the majority were already on their way out and wilting.

Credit to M and S, I took a photo and contacted them and they did send a second bunch which were perfect, so outstanding customer service, however, had we not visited her then we would never have known and depending on your recipient they won't always tell you if they aren't up to par.

I've received Bloom and Wild ones before, and they are wonderful, highly recommend. Always received the letterbox ones, but I believe they also do hand tied bouquets too.

When you open the box, they are wrapped and tied in a bow, you get a lovely card with a personalised message, and a little booklet talking you through the flowers in your bouquet and suggesting how to place them in your vase, and how much to cut off stems, etc. So they still feel really special.

Failing that, local florist.

Attached is the Day 5 photo of my M&S flowers. The tulips have carried on growing so they are now taller than the other flowers, but they always do.

I received the bouquet in your third photo last week and they are gorgeous and still going strong. We have been very disappointed in bloom and wild in the past as the flowers haven't lasted very long.
