You go on a date with a guy, he tells you what he does for a living and... well... it kinda turns you on! I'm curious What kind of job would he do for you to think "ooof!"

OP posts:

Carpenter or violinist

KitKat1985 · 17/01/2021 20:31

Doctor or paramedic. Although I'm a nurse and very aware that the fantasy most definitely not live up to the reality.... Grin

sylviapancreas · 17/01/2021 20:32

I've had long term relationships with a few top ones here. Weird.

Tree surgeon
Real surgeon (doctor)
Musician (several, incl bass player and keyboards)

Musicians defo good with hands, more sensual, romantic. As was the doctor actually, although all felt a bit too controlled. Tree surgeon good, but in a manly no nonsense way.

You're welcomeSmile

I'm 30 years to old but DD's boyfriend looks amazing in his navy (officer) uniform. But when I as dating the us army guy I met, a colonel, was horrible so I'm over military and met my lovely dp shortly after. His job isn't sexy but he's the boss so that helps!

whoknows2 · 17/01/2021 20:44

The Duke of Hastings

MargaretHooper · 17/01/2021 20:47

Sound engineer - head set, techie, in control.

wonderup · 17/01/2021 20:49

Dancer. The classy sort, not a Redcoat.

😂😂

OverByYer · 17/01/2021 20:50

Rock guitarist
Surfer
Someone who wear a low slung tool belt

nonflirtinghusband · 17/01/2021 20:53

Blacksmith

DialsMavis · 17/01/2021 20:53

Agree with tree surgeon Smile

willieversleep · 17/01/2021 20:54

Oh my farming is definitely not a sexy job. I would go as far as to say not a job but a lifestyle. And often very smelling

Mingmoo · 17/01/2021 20:56

DH qualifies as two of the most-listed professions, although in fairness to me he was a scruffy student when we got together. I think there's something very sexy about men (or women, I suppose, if you're that way inclined) taking charge and being confident and wearing uniforms

Ffsnosexallowed · 17/01/2021 20:57

Tree Surgeon

LilyE1234 · 17/01/2021 20:57

As ex cabin crew, I now find Pilots the most un sexy job 😂

Even the quiet geeky ones take their wedding rings off down route 🤢 very unattractive and a lot of ego.

There are women who still openly do the job to find their pilot husband though 🤷‍♀️ Their life I suppose!

Goldieloxx · 17/01/2021 21:04

Human rights lawyer. And I would love to be married to a dermatologist

Guineapigbridge · 17/01/2021 21:16

professional sailor

Guineapigbridge · 17/01/2021 21:20

you know, the common theme here is that these jobs require a man to be good with his hands.
Just saying.

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 17/01/2021 21:26

Anything where you need strong arms and a bit of oomph:
Vet
Army officer
Anti-poaching wildlife rescuer in Africa
Mountain rescue man
Lifeboatman
Paramedic

I'm married to a teacher and I love him deeply but it's not a sexy job. There's only so much excitement you can glean from looking at his book bag full of board pens and listening to him moaning about who's doing break duty that week😐. I feel bad for saying that, he is lovely.

Mrsfrumble · 17/01/2021 21:31

Doctor (although I should know better given that I’m related to a few)
Teacher (I like men who are good with children)
Architect (I have to say it out of loyalty to DH...)

plominoagain · 17/01/2021 21:49

Farmer for me - or farrier actually !

Not policeman - never found one I’ve worked with to be sexy tbh . Other than DH , but we made sure always to be on opposite teams .

Mammyloveswine · 17/01/2021 21:51

Oooh fireman..but also a builder/tradesman...all muscly and a bit sweaty and rugged..able to fix things..

Also solicitors when they take suit jacket off and roll the shirt sleeves up so their forearms are on their display...

Alas DH is currently working from home (he works in a call centre) and tends to wear his dressing gown of doom everyday...he also has a weird mullet hairstyle going on as never went to the fucking barbers before lockdown...

Mind I'm a primary school teacher with 2 stone to lose, my "uniform" is smock dresses, leggings, boots and a nice long cardigan so I doubt I do it for anyone these days Grin

Once upon a time I was a secretary and tottered around in tight blouses, pencils skirts and heels with my hair curled from rollers every day...I had lots of offers back in the day Grin

riotlady · 17/01/2021 22:02

Fireman, vet or primary school teacher

littlebillie · 17/01/2021 22:03

@EvilHerbivore

Whatever the job is that wears the white uniform Richard Gere wears at the end of 'An Officer And A Gentleman'....
There was a group of these marine officers one night when we were out in Sydney. So many women swooning Grin
Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 17/01/2021 22:13

Fireman
Investment Banker
Racing pilot
Martial arts instructor
Army officer

or entrepreneur with a really unexpected interesting business.

torthecatlady · 17/01/2021 22:26
