...beef stew, chilli or a pie?

Am bored of the above. Have quite a well stocked cupboard. Just fancy something different!

Ideas welcome ☕🥐

Stir fry? Or wraps with lots of seasoning and salad.

Philly cheese steak sandwich.

Did this with the remainder of the beef yesterday, no regrets.

Massaman curry
Jambalaya

thisismetrying · 10/01/2021 10:54

I'd definitely go for the rendang or massaman. I really fancy that now but have nothing in to make it.

Tagine
Stifado
And substitute the lamb with beef and orzo
Instead of using gravy in stew substitute with a tin of tomatoes.

Slow cooked Beef Goulash. Hairy Bikers have a good recipe for this.

plg21 · 10/01/2021 10:59

Another vote for massaman curry. Not sure if it's authentic but I brown a few diced potatoes in the frying pan and chuck them in at the end.

I’m making ‘Cuban beef’ from pinch of nom book - I’m sure you can get it on their website! Something a bit different

crimsonlake · 10/01/2021 12:28

Slow cook it then turn it in to a pie.

Chinese style braised beef one pot from Good food site - is absolutely delicious and dead easy.

Randomrebel · 10/01/2021 12:51

Goulash, Thai red or Green curry, BBC good food usually have some good recipes.

Somethingkindaoooo · 10/01/2021 12:55

Slow cook it and make tacos

Chewbecca · 10/01/2021 12:58

What sort of beef is it? I wouldn’t use braising steak in anything other than a slow, liquidy cook, e.g. stew, curry, chilli, pie, goulash. You need more tender beef for kebabs, burgers, stroganoff, fajitas any quick cooking meal.

SkiingIsHeaven · 10/01/2021 13:04

Steak pie and mashed potatoes, with gravy and some vegetables.

Two Chubby Cubs Mongolian Beef

Or chinese beef and broccoli

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 10/01/2021 13:09

It's going to need to be slow cooked, isn't it? I can't think of anything else apart from curry

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 10/01/2021 13:10

You could try adapting some brisket recipes

Ariela · 10/01/2021 13:14
