Please help with oil diffusers - a beginners guide!

I would LOVE a Neom wellbeing pod, but they are a gazillion pounds and perhaps not a wise purchase in such uncertain times, unless of course you have a gazillion pounds to spare!

Please can you recommend me an almost as lovely but much cheaper version? I've searched for threads but lots are asking about which oils to use - which I need to know too!

Please can you tell me specifically which diffusers and oils are good and most importantly where to get them from? I, like it would seem a lot of other people on here, also want my home to smell like a spa!

I've the neom and I love it. However it's all about the blend rather than the diffuser. My DD was bought one from Amazon for about £20 and it does the same job.
You could always buy the Neom oils and a cheaper diffuser?

We also have www.thewhitecompany.com/uk/Electronic-Diffuser/p/ARDED?swatch=No+Colour which is great too...there actually is very little difference between them apart from the White Company one can be set to be on for different lengths of time.

My Aldi one is great, changes colour and has different length of time settings. I just use white company oil

I don’t use this type of home fragrance as they work by adding water which is pumped into the air along with the fragrance and I don’t want my home humidified.

Thanks for this thread OP... I now want one! Do you know if they’re used by hotels in their reception areas? Every time I walk into a nice hotel it smells amazing. I really like the idea of being able to control the quantities of oil... one of the issues I have with scented candles is the overpowering scent some of them have.

@H1978 I have the sleep one and the restore one, and I think they’re both quite “spa like”.
I also think they’re both lovely, although dp isn’t so keen on the restore one.

I got a cheap diffuser and some different brands of oil blends for Christmas. I LOVE the Eve Taylor blends so far, I have Winter and Summer and will be ordering more. Also got some Tisserand ones and not so keen on those. Planning to try Neom and White Company next.

How many drops of oil do you all put in yours? I started with 5 but not sure if that is too much/not enough?!

I got a cheap one from Amazon a couple of years ago.its lively while uts on but once you've turned it off, the descent doesn't seem to linger. Also, it's fiddly to empty and clean it in between using so hard to completely rid it of the previous oil used. I love how the Neom one looks but it's too expensive for me, as are the oils. I use mine occasionally instead of my beloved candles,I suppose it's cleaner and better for you if you use essential oils.

I have the neom diffuser, honestly it's not that great quality for the money. It doesn't do anything differently to other diffusers. As some one up thread says it's the neom oils that make it.

I'm very tempted by the M&S one, it seems to be in the style of the Neom one, but doesn't have the price, maybe with some White Company oils **goes off to look at them now!

Muji do a fantastic range of diffusers and oils. I've had mine for over 5 years now and it's still working well.

We've got the Tisserand one; you can set it for continual use or intermittent. I buy the single oils (Holland and Barrett sell a lot) and mix them myself. If you buy a "Beginners Guide To Aromatherapy" book it gives you ideas for which oils go together.

I've reduced my use of most scents (perfumed products too) because of my cats. Occasional burning of an incense stick if I've shut them out of the room for the day.

I was just about to post the same, everyone raves about essential oils because they are ‘natural’ but lots of them are toxic to cats and dogs, natural does not mean safe.
