What’s Happening In Your House?

I’m the most relaxed I’ve been in ages & sadly I have to go back to work tomorrow after over a week off. Still, I enjoy my job & get on well with my colleagues so it’s all good. Cooking bangers, mash & beans for tea. DD says she doesn’t want anything. Had a lovely shopping trip on my own today. M & S gave me cash instead of store credit when I returned a jumper I got for Christmas so I’m putting the money towards slippers & a clear case for my new I Phone 11 which should arrive tomorrow. I spent a voucher from my DB & SIL at Primark - got loads of vests, t shirts & long sleeved tops. Also enjoyed a wander round M & S foodhall. Always a treat! Hoped to buy some pressies for next Christmas in Boots but the shelves were virtually bare. It was so quiet in the town. We have recently entered tier 3 so not surprising. I had planned to sort out a load of DD’s stuff which is in carrier bags on the landing & in DH’s office. Might do that after tea. The house is gradually getting decluttered. DD has new furniture arriving in a couple of weeks so we want to clear her room ready.

DP has just ran me a lovely bath and filled it with some of the Lush things I got for Christmas.

I really enjoyed it.

I'm now lay on the bed naked in my towel, wet hair, feeling squeaky clean, scrolling mumsnet.

DP is downstairs playing on his game, I can hear the shooting sounds from here.

I am anxiously awaiting my first ever placement day tomorrow. I will pack my bag ready for morning so I don't forget anything.

Husband is asleep, I'm in bed on mumsnet and son and girlfriend are making bread in the kitchen.

Dp has gone out for a walk with a friend who is going through a bad break up, ds and dd in bed (dd asleep in our bed next to me as she’s having a night with me).

I have just had a shower and am putting about my 10th episode of Pretty Little Liars on of the day.

We have had a lovely day as the whole family (even the miserable teenager) went for a really long cycle. We had a roast dinner and huddled under blankets on the sofa to watch TV.

I've now had a bath and jumped into bed. DH us watching TV downstairs and dc1, 2 and 3 are in their bedrooms either asleep or watching stuff on their phones.

Just watched an episode of Bridgerton and about to go and read in bed. Just finished Richard Osman's book and going to make a start on the new Elly Griffiths (both xmas present).
DC tucked up in bed early tonight ready for their first fay back at school tomorrow.
I am back to work tomorrow after having the first two week Christmas holiday since I left school (25 years ago!). Fortunately I work from home on a Monday so very pleased I haven't got to go straight into dragging the kids to breakfast club when it's still dark.

Ds is in bed. Dh and I both have drinks, southern comfort and coke for me, jack Daniel's and coke for him. We are both sat down enjoying our drinks and relaxing with only the Christmas tree lights on, I'm catching up on my soaps and he is watching something he likes. We are also trying to decide if we are going to bother having anything to eat as we haven't had dinner.
