I’m the most relaxed I’ve been in ages & sadly I have to go back to work tomorrow after over a week off. Still, I enjoy my job & get on well with my colleagues so it’s all good. Cooking bangers, mash & beans for tea. DD says she doesn’t want anything. Had a lovely shopping trip on my own today. M & S gave me cash instead of store credit when I returned a jumper I got for Christmas so I’m putting the money towards slippers & a clear case for my new I Phone 11 which should arrive tomorrow. I spent a voucher from my DB & SIL at Primark - got loads of vests, t shirts & long sleeved tops. Also enjoyed a wander round M & S foodhall. Always a treat! Hoped to buy some pressies for next Christmas in Boots but the shelves were virtually bare. It was so quiet in the town. We have recently entered tier 3 so not surprising. I had planned to sort out a load of DD’s stuff which is in carrier bags on the landing & in DH’s office. Might do that after tea. The house is gradually getting decluttered. DD has new furniture arriving in a couple of weeks so we want to clear her room ready.

Dd2 was Minecrafting with friends; she's probably reading now as it's gone quiet upstairs. She'd normally be about ready for bed but we have an unexpected day off tomorrow (apart from I have to go in for an hour) so I've said she can stay up a bit later.

I'm thinking about picking up my crochet. Their dad is watching Ace Ventura.

DP is playing a game with his mate on the PlayStation and I'm on here reading this whilst trying to stave off the "Sunday night work dread"

I love my job, it's just the 6am wake ups that I cannot stand!

DD10 is playing Roblox whilst baby flat out refuses to go down for the night. I'm hoping for a soak later but it's getting less and less likely.

It’s freezing so I’m in bed on mumsnet and just got the message that dd3 (10) can’t go to school tomorrow because there isn’t enough staff 🙄

I'm lying on the sofa watching DVDs. The cat is curled up fast asleep in the 'Happy Valley' between the sofa & radiator!

Ths electrical sockets keep tripping so were trying to figure out the cause. An hour and a half in and we still havent a clue.

My manager will love this when I cant wfh on my first dag back tomorrow due to no electric so no wifi

Quiet at my house. DDog is asleep at my feet, he’s wearing his polka dot fleece “pjs” as it’s cold & he’s a fussy old bugger. DH and I are drinking martinis which are from the NYE cocktail pack our local pub were selling, we didn’t have the inclination to drink more than one on NYE and now I’m wondering if that means we are over the hill
We had a lazy dinner of beans on toast, as with being in T4 after not going anywhere except the supermarket once a week, I am utterly fed up with all food (except cake and ice cream) and cooking. Though after reading this thread I am wishing we had sausages in
We started watching Schitts Creek today & have no clue why we didn’t watch it sooner, I’ve been laughing my socks off.
I’ve been off work since 18th, company closed to give everyone 2 weeks off this year, which I appreciate the thought behind it, but I’ve been stressed about work all the way through until yesterday! I’ve taken leave tomorrow so hoping to keep the relaxed feeling until 9am Tues

have done the hoovering right through the house cleaned the kitchen cooked the dinner and now just finishing off the baileys we opened at christmas im not normally this houseproud but back to work tomorrow so know i can relax when i get home

My toddler had peed into a socket and They kept tripping out until I found the offending socket full of pee 😱

@Tangledtresses , must go and take a closer look at all the sockets!

Place is like a fucking bomb site. We're in the middle of a house move, we've got far too much junk stuff, boxes piled high everywhere and the packers are coming tomorrow. 😳😫

DP and DSD are playing on DP's VR headset, puppy is snoozing on my lap and I'm trying not to get sad about DP going back to work down south tomorrow for 2 months. Might open some wine

16yo is trying to do math homework (while grumbling loudly & playing with the almost broken chair). We just got Google Meet working so he can join classes tomorrow.

Kids are upstairs - no (home) school until the 11th so no strict bed time for now.
I’m having a glass of wine and crackers and cheese as I have a FT date in 20 mins. Clearly needed a drink first and hopefully the cheese will help mop up the alcohol!

Baby DS is asleep, DP has just gone to take the dogs for a quick final walk - I don't envy him, there's still snow on the ground here!

I have a rotten headache but am curled up on the sofa in my new pyjamas and slippers chatting to my sister on WhatsApp.

The dishwasher was the source of the electrical fault! So I will probably have no dishwasher for a few days but am just relieved it wasnt the fridge or freezer.

(I wouldnt have been surprised if dtoddler was the cause though. He is wild and the last time the sockets tripped it was because he dropped a fork down into an electric heater, while being supervised right beside me )

Baby has finally gone off! I had the dogs out for a run round the garden and gave DD her 10 minute warning on roblox. She'll read a bit before lights out. No school tomorrow anyway. I'm about to run a bath and have a small Baileys.

Both DD’s are in bed and I’m watching a film with the dog on my lap 😊
