Xmas is over
New year but same sh**
Back to work tomorrow
Worried about school situation ( tier4) and even if kids go back they are likely to be sent home shortly
House is a tip and needs cleaning
I'm fatter than ever
Feel that I need to drink and eat less for the next month

Before I get criticised I know it could be a lot worse and I'm very lucky but I just wanted a little moan!

Thank you Op for this thread.
We went into 2020, as a family, full of hope that the hideousness of 2019 could be left behind, some hope!
I have decided that we have to look forward. but it is hard to be upbeat with the situation generally everyone in the country is in.
I could have coped with the loss of family members we experienced in 2019 if I could have seen my family but we've all been apart trying individually to cope with our feelings.
Taking the Xmas decs down today has been a low point, I do wonder why I put them up in the first place, Nobody was able to visit!

I just hope and pray that we can all get past this,

Oh @TheVanguardSix I think you deserve a one woman pity party! I hope DH rallies so you can lean on him again.

Thank you to the key workers on here Flowers

@ladygracie thank you, so far I'm OK but just struck with the irony of getting my DM to come to us in the Autumn to keep her safe (she's widowed and did the first lockdown totally alone and 200 miles away; we knew she'd lose her shit alone for a winter lockdown). And now I've bloody exposed her. 45 minutes on phone to NHS Contact Tracing (necessary but made me feel like crap) added to the joys of the day. Big unmumsnetty hugs to all on this thread; I'm normally a positive person (well, today I literally am) but his has knocked me for 6 and I know there are many of you battling way worse problems Sad

And Thanks to @TheVanguardSix

Yep! I felt like this yesterday and I haven’t felt like this in months. I know I’m very lucky but had a real down day. Think it’s because I’ve had almost 2 weeks off work and I’m back tomorrow.. plus I’m now worrying about DS A levels this year

HawkinsLab · 03/01/2021 20:34

Vanguard Flowers sending thoughts and well wishes your way.

I'm on maternity leave so no work feelings but looking out to months of cold and grey weather with no pubs or restaurants open so we can see friends... it's depressing
