Morten still gives me flutters! My first love at age 14. Although I agree that Mags has improved with age. Saw them live twice in one week a few years back. I don't know a single other fan in real life though.
Also a quick mention for Paul Young who had to compete for wall space in my teenage bedroom.

As a young girl, I was stopped by Mags at the top of the Champs Elysées as he was lost and was looking for the way back to his hotel. I had been in the audience at Bercy the night before. I was speechless and no help whatsoever. And yes, he’s every bit as gorgeous in the flesh 😍

It says a lot about the kind of twelve year old I was that I would have trampled over the handsome one and the smiley curly-haired boy-next-door to get to the one who looked like a cheek-bony blonde famine victim.

My teen DD is also rather taken with A-Ha but is in denial completely that they are from my equivalent teens and actually older than us!

My main crush was nikki sixx from motley Crue.. He hasn't aged too badly considering his lifestyle. Axl on the other hand.. Oh dear.. And he was so beautiful back then.

Im guessing most of us on this thread are of a similar age (I'm 52 in feb).. Where the bloody hell have the last 35 years gone 😭😭😭

I was only 7 when I first saw the video for Take On Me, but I knew I wanted to be the blonde girl who gets pulled into the comic, even if I didn’t understand why. Over the summer during a lull in homeschooling I introduced my children to the same video, telling them earnestly “this is the most beautiful man who has ever lived”.

According to an acquaintance who is a massive A-ha fan, Pål is the talented one who writes all the music.

Showing my age here, but when I was 5 yrs old I watched jailhouse rock and decided with some certainty that I would marry Elvis...
