DH is baking a frangipani tart with mincemeat which smells amazing. He’s made it before & it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. DD12 is in her room as per usual. I’ve been for an eyetest & ended up with a bill for over £300 for new frames & prescription sunglasses! Very glad I will get paid for overtime tomorrow! Also checked out the Boots sale ( shelves stripped virtually bare) & got next year’s family Christmas cards halfprice in the Card Factory. Trying to work out what we need to do now we’re heading for Tier 3. DH & I will still be working but I may have to take time off as DD isn’t going back to school until mid January & can no longer be looked after by DM & DF.

Two youngest just gone to bed.
Two eldest are in their rooms one is watching a movie I think and one is sticking things in a notebook.
Dh is going to the gym one last time before they shut tomorrow.
I'm sat with the cat and dog who's not well. I'm about to go and have a bath if I can haul my arse off the sofa.

DTwins 2y10m in their cots singing rude songs to get themselves off to sleep.

DD1 nearly 6 just out of the shower trying to put off bedtime.

Today DH met DPILs with the children for a walk and I cleaned the house. Then lunch and then I took the twins for another walk - they have a lot of energy!

Now waiting to go downstairs so I can do a Yoga With Adriene while DH makes dinner. Then Bailey's and A Nice Sit Down. Which I have been waiting for since about 8am!!

Been a little walk in the forest which ended up being 5 miles with the Dh and kids, now having a ok let bath with the door locked!!

Dd2 has just gone to sleep, dd1 is watching YouTube on my bed before bed while Dh plays on his Xbox and I’ve just run a hot bath to try and warm up.

I'm sitting around miserable on my own drinking. DD is with her dad as he's on annual leave and I'm not.

Dd1 is Minecrafting (or at least she was when I poked my head in her room)

Dd2 is definitely Minecrafting, with friends, online.

I'm about to watch a bit more of a crochet tutorial & shout dd1 to make tea - definitely her turn.

Stayed up late yesterday... I ordered pizza for the two boys and just finished watching Klaus which made me cry

DH downstairs watching a film, I'm in the bath, both DSs in bed asleep. I also went for an eye test today op! Said I had to get back to the car park so didn't have to fork out for new glasses today, they can wait!

Ds7 and ds8 just got sent to bed after tempers frayed during a switch game. Ds15, who was also playing, has now gone back to his room to watch tv and message his mates. DD13 is hoovering (!) her room after cleaning out her new Guinea pigs. I’m just about to walk the dog and she’ll probably stop cuddling them for long enough to come with me. DH is watching the football.

Wine and chocolate. Then university challenge (it gets competitive around here).

Everyone has amazingly got up at the same time to have breakfast. Ds16 is usually either up earlier for school or later as he loves a lie in. Kitchen is very small for 5! Lovely day today but can't really do anything .

9:23 on New Year's Eve, Tier 4. Adult DD in her room, probably still in bed, DH home from Twilight Shift at 2am so still in bed, me faffing around on Mumsnet when I should be doing something useful.

I'm making packed lunches. We're about to go for a big walk with the dogs. Its going to be muddy and cold so we'll need fuel.

Dh at work, I am about to start work (from home) and dc (both 8) are happily playing Sylvanian Families and not fighting for a change

I am sitting here in my pyjamas, thinking about productive things I should be doing. DC2 is playing with a half-built playmobil zoo. DC1 is still in bed though she was awake a little while ago. DH is asleep.

Kids been playing in the snow. Ds1(10) just came in for a cuddle. I'm sitting in bed mumsnetting. Dh still not been to m&s to get party food for tonight. Ds1 bringing me tea and I'm going to read.... or play a game with ds2(6).

I am watching the snowman with DD. That's a lie, she's fallen asleep after a feed and I'm snuggling her in my pjs looking longingly at my cup of tea going cold on the coffee table! Wouldn't change it for the world 💕

I'm mning working from home. Two DC up and lounging around in pjs, other DC and DH still in bed. Okay for some, I've been online since 8.
