I've just been attempting to make a Minecraft Stampy from icing for dd2's birthday cake, while she's vanished upstairs to see what dd1's doing.

It's the wrong colour & very heavy, and wonky so I don't think it'll make it to the cake but we'll see 🤷‍♀️

I'm just going to finish my cup of coffee while it's still quiet down here, then think about hoovering the stairs (may only get as far as thinking about it, mind!)

Just got back from B&Q the kids are eating pizza and I'm having a prosecco. I bought a lock for my bedroom door after reading on another thread that it's not terribly abusive to make your own bedroom off limits to dc. Waiting for them to finish dinner then it's bath, bed and 2nd glass of fizz 🥂

Wondering where these macarons have come from. The doorbell rang and the postman handed me a parcel. Inside was a box of summer fruits flavoured macarons with no indication who they are from. The box says keep refrigerated. They obviously haven't been refrigerated from a few days. Would you still eat them?
I am also considering what to offer the DC for lunch, what to do with them that gets them away from watching youtubers play minecraft on the tv, procrastinating from any kind of housework/ tidying.

Juliet that is amazing. I clicked to the last page of the thread without reading the earlier pages, saw your picture and thought it was a photo of some Dr Martens and clicked back to see what you had done to them. It's an amazing drawing.

Watching some shrink-film crafts bake in the oven and mumsnetting. Stalling putting DS down for a nap as I can’t be arsed. DS5 playing PlayStation. DH FaceTiming his father.

Sat on the sofa recovering after a trip into town and waiting for the heating engineer to hurry up and fix my heating and leave. Not feeling in the least bit festive!

I'm working

Having a mince pie. Dd revising for mocks, dh working from home. I’ve food shopped and just about to start housework - for which I will set a time limit. Dh doesn’t finish work til tomorrow- he’s not impressed!

I'm thinking that I need to go out and buy Christmas presents and food!
I will do soon.

Me and DS are watching telly while DP knocks up a banging lunch of beans and sausages on toast. DD is asleep in her basket. We’ve had a nice morning of playdoughing. We’re going to some paper plate painting this afternoon and watch a Christmas film I think.

Thinking about walking to the shops to get some essentials I forgot in the rush to get Christmas bits. It’s raining pretty hard and I won’t be able to get a mop which I really want if I walk but parking in town is a nightmare at the best of times and I hate being on a time limit.

Watching the rain and thinking I really so need to go out and feed the cats, get coal in and adjust the ropes so we don’t hang up or tip.
