It is, but you need the band name ....

midgebabe · 23/12/2020 17:56

Not that it's worth much drama!

Fleamaker123 · 23/12/2020 18:11

The Four Seasons, oh what a night.. Oh dear I'm not good at the themed ones Midge!

So we've got..
Four Seasons, big girls don't cry
Level 42, lessons in love

What's happened Midge!

midgebabe · 23/12/2020 18:17

Moving from 2 to 4 ( although a careful reading of the rules suggests we can drive a short way to get out of town for walking )

And SIL In hospital

Fleamaker123 · 23/12/2020 18:22

Oh sorry to hear that Midge... Hope she's going to be ok
Tier 4 😞

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 23/12/2020 18:34

Me too midge (the T2 -> T4 bit, not your SIL)

SE?

Sorry about your SIL, hope she's going to be ok.

midgebabe · 23/12/2020 18:46

We know nothing much at the moment. Just have to wait and see.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 23/12/2020 19:34

@midgebabe Sorry to hear about your SIL

Was the band Tears for Fears?

Honeyroar · 23/12/2020 20:03

Oh Midge, sorry about your sil. Fingers crossed she’s ok.

I’m amazed we haven’t been moved up to 4 here as well.

midgebabe · 23/12/2020 20:08

@CoffeeBeansGalore

The band have been got, but tiers for fears would have been brilliant

Level 42 and 4 seasons

No real news on SIL. Tests to be done . Thanks all. Just when you think things can't get worse

CoffeeBeansGalore · 23/12/2020 20:16

Should be waking up to snow tomorrow ❄☃️

Hope new is good regarding your SIL @midgebabe

@CoffeeBeansGalore I have weather envy - we have heavy rain and high winds at the moment and I think the forecast for tomorrow is overcast and miserable

shinynewapple2020 · 23/12/2020 20:24

Wind and rain here too. Just popped presents round to our friends, stood on the doorstep talking and we are soaked .

Still Tier 3 here (Midlands)

shinynewapple2020 · 23/12/2020 20:27

And hope your SIL is ok midge

FlouncingBabooshka · 23/12/2020 20:44

Commiserations to those of you joining me in T4. Here, have a 🍷.

Just don’t get too close.

Best wishes to your SIL Midge - hope you get good news.

In an aside from our lyrics can I ask, does anyone else find that in the weeks running up to Christmas you imagine yourself doing lots of festive, creative things that never come to pass?

I spent £25 on a make-your-own wreath kit on 30 November - partly to support the local florist but also because I imagined it would be a lovely way to spend an afternoon, weaving greenery and berries and stuff into a stunningly original and arty wreath.

All the bits are still in their brown carrier bags. Why did I think this was something I’d do? Maybe I should just chuck the lot on the doorstep and claim it’s a ‘deconstructed wreath’?

Found out afterwards the same florist would have sold me a very beautiful wreath for £28.

I have a very sad looking bare front door...

Honeyroar · 23/12/2020 20:53

Aww Babooshka that’s funny! I have even less excuse as I’ve been furloughed since October! And I spent most of the summer furloughed from my last job too - yet I still haven’t oiled my wooden work surfaces, which desperately need it!

Fleamaker123 · 23/12/2020 21:14

😂 Babooshka and Honeyroar I know what you mean ...In my head I always imagine homemade mince pies.. I have never, ever made them and I probably never will.

FlouncingBabooshka · 23/12/2020 21:18

Oh fuck it! The homemade mince pies! I promised MrFB! He’s been very, very good since his diabetes diagnosis and is allowing himself mince pies over the next three days. So I promised homemade.

Why? Why? He would have been happy with a box or two from M&S...

Honeyroar · 23/12/2020 21:21

Can’t you just chuck some flour around in the kitchen and pop some shop pies onto a baking tray for five mins in the oven!

Fleamaker123 · 23/12/2020 21:23

Honeyroar just what I was thinking! A little shake in the box to rough them up and get them in the oven 😉

Honeyroar · 23/12/2020 21:25

Yeah, and do a mulled wine while you’re at it, he’ll never notice!

FlouncingBabooshka · 23/12/2020 22:00

Tempting, but in all honestly I could have them made and out of the oven in the time it would take me to go to the shops. And I don’t do anything but absolutely essential shopping due all DH’s underlying health conditions. And I certainly don’t do supermarkets on Christmas Eve/birthday.

Looks like I’ll be making them...

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 23/12/2020 22:05

I think I'm a grinch, but I think those door wreaths are quite naff. Celebrate your naked door!

Ignore me... depressed about the T4 thing. Also very proud that ALL presents are wrapped and the house is clean and all prep is done ✔✔✔

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 23/12/2020 22:06

FlouncingB, harness your inner Nigeria!!!!
