It's a house tune. Think that's a bit of a no-go area on these threads

Procedures tomorrow, told an hour ago I'm not being knocked out and will just be having "conscious sedation", I'm so anxious and scared, even thinking of cancelling

Alternatively I could threaten to do an interesting theme again if you don't get yourself sorted?

Doubt you will get any extra points out of the elf though no matter how traumatic

I had conscious sedation for a procedure once. The worst thing about it was when I was waking up and told the anaesthetist that he did a good job of the seduction I didn't remember or feel a thing.

You can do it Steve. You have to remember that everything they do is to help you so try to relax and go with it.

@WhipperSnapperSteve Don't cancel. It won't be as bad as you think. Worrying just builds it up and up. I had to have an MRI last year. I was scared as I get really claustrophobic, and I hate needles. But in the end it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
A few years back I lost a fingertip & had to have the bone nibbed down so the flesh could grow back over it. I was told I was going to be awake but told them I was really nervous (I was shaking so much, it was awful). They gave me a relaxing sedative & I was fine. They talked to me the whole time.
Ultimately these procedures are to help you. Admit you are nervous when you get there. They deal with this every day. Let them take care of you.

Yes sometimes if you tell them you’re nervous they load the sedative and you’re virtually asleep anyway. One time my arm dislocated and in A&E I was going on and on about dreading them pulling it around, and the next minute they’d done it and I’d somehow missed it (because of the gas they gave me!)

@WhipperSnapperSteve - it's natural to worry, but please don't cancel. It's for your health. We will all be thinking of you ❤️. In fact, if you're conscious, maybe you can play with us as it's being done?! Only joking, to try and cheer you up xx
