There's a Keter playhouse in quite neutral colours that folds flat. I quite fancied it for DS for Christmas but we got him Paw Patrol toys instead (which he adores). We also have a very small garden but may be able to slide it behind the shed... that's what I'm going to tell DH, anyway!

PinkDaydreams · 08/01/2021 22:20

@MessAllOver I remember looking at that playhouse last year but honestly haven't the space for it now that we've got the slide and frame. He's got an IKEA circus tent that has been in the living room alot during lockdown.

whereisthejoy · 08/01/2021 22:36

Ooh! Just found this group, I'm in. I have a toddler so I qualify Grin

Pros - super cute, smiles a lot, loves a good swaddling
Cons - loves a 6 hour cluster feed/mini nap sesh

MonkeyPuddle · 08/01/2021 23:09

Does anyone have a climbing frame in this style?DS turns four in summer and was thinking about getting him one. We are lucky to have a large garden.

I have Quadro, is absolutely brilliant did lockdown. It's modular so you built it how you want. Mostly it's a clinging frame (indoors or out) but can be used to make lots of things like a playhouse, tunnel, ladder, furniture, all sorts. You could make football posts, a basketball hoop, so many possibilities.

Motherofmonsters · 09/01/2021 07:53

@monkeypuddle we have the teal one, second one down in the pic. DS loves it and has started to hang upside down on it. We've put a sheet over it to make it an outside den to

Camomila · 09/01/2021 08:05

@MonkeyPuddle They had one at DS1s old nursery with a slide attachment, seemed pretty popular!

We have a giant ikea campervan tent in the living room atm (gift from single brother)...it sits empty while DS1 uses all my scarves/chairs/clothes pegs to make forts instead SadHmm

I've felt a bit ill (migraine with nausea) these last few days, too much screen time after not being used to it maybe? Going to take both DC out on a long walk today, I don't think I've been outside all week! (the DC have don't worry)

footprintsintheslow · 09/01/2021 09:17

I don't want to elicit envy or jealousy here but I went out yesterday ON MY OWN. 40 minute drive Spotify playlist of all my favourite songs on at full blast. I felt amazing.

I was only going to the hospital for a scan but it felt incredible after being in since the 27th.

Very jealous @footprintsintheslow. It sounds lovely! Smile I did a food shop last week at 8am on a Thursday. It was the first time I had been on my own for about 5 months.

FolkSongSweet · 09/01/2021 09:26

Dh took the baby in the sling for a nap yesterday and she slept for 3 hours - the longest time she hasn’t been attached to my body since she was born 9 weeks ago! I gave toddler DS his tea and put him to bed then had a lovely bath and nap. Baby’s feeding has been so tough this week and I’m exhausted but will go for a walk later with DS on his balance bike.

We’ve got that IKEA circus tent in DS’s room but think will have to replace it with more storage once the baby moves in there. Quadro sounds amazing - will investigate!

meow1989 · 09/01/2021 09:27

Can I join? I have ds 2.5 who I'm keeping off nursery at the moment (though his grandparents have him 3 days a week). I went a bit insane yesterday and spent 45 quid on tough tray and bits and then froze some of ds toys in the freezer for him to rescue later... send help!

WeSearchedHereWeSearchedThere · 09/01/2021 09:35

@footprintsintheslow very jealous! Pregnancy appointments were my only alone time in lockdown one. Now I don’t have that option!

@meow1989 you’ll fit right in here Smile

Camomila · 09/01/2021 09:42

footprintsintheslow Ooooh jealous! Grin
In the first lockdown 111 told me to go to A&E when DS1 jumped on my foot at a funny angle and it still tingled the next day in case it was broken, I got to spend a lovely 3 or 4 hours reading on my phone all by myself (my foot was fine, just bruised/tingly nerves).

(It was super stressful for DH who had to hang out with 8 week old ebf DS2 outside)

Welcome @meow1989 I also go a bit crazy on amazon too sometimes, in my case it's board games (no mess!) and storage solutions for our tiny flat.

BullshitVivienne · 09/01/2021 09:54

It's so funny the things that become enjoyable for us, like going to appointments on our own or boring shopping. I enjoy my commute to work a lot more now!

meow1989 · 09/01/2021 10:06

If ds has now listened to the wiggles so much that he can count along to 10 in Japanese and Spanish (as in he knows the word, don't think he knows they are numbers) do you tjibk I can pass it off as him being multi-lingual?

So far today we have made caves (covering us up with every blanket in the house - geography?), jumped off the bed onto various pillows etc (pe?) And had a looong bath with toys (swimming?).

MummaBear4321 · 09/01/2021 10:15

Another wiggles household @meow1989! My DD knows all the dances to rockaby your bear and kiss polly had a dolly because of her obsession with the wiggles. She will only brush her teeth if I sing Michael Finnegan 😆

footprintsintheslow · 09/01/2021 10:50

What is this wiggles you all speak of?

meow1989 · 09/01/2021 10:51

@footprintsinthesnow have you not heard of them? They're an Australian kids band, been going for yonks with line up changes , they're good fun actually, they have a TV show too

Mysteryamazonian · 09/01/2021 11:31

@FolkSongSweet the quadro was in offer (40% off one of the sets, which is what we got) before Christmas. Full price it is quite silly money, but you may be able to find second hand better value?

Mysteryamazonian · 09/01/2021 11:34

Lazy Saturday morning here. My 20m old woke at 8 (she was awake in the night before anyone kills me) and other woke our 3 year old at any quarter past. We then made a duvet bed downstairs and watched some cbeebies before having pancakes for breakfast about 10. We've been playing with the quadro and duplo since then.

MonkeyPuddle · 09/01/2021 12:57

@Camomila I love how a trip to A&E now constitutes a bit of ‘me time’ Grin

MonkeyPuddle · 09/01/2021 13:03

We’ve been to the park, it’s a snow day here. I really love dragging the pram through the snow.... DD is being particularly refluxy today and I smell like vomit. Have fed her since we got home and she spewed chunky gaviscon vomit everywhere, then screamed as she’s obviously bloody starving.

Have sent DP to the shop for cake.

MessAllOver · 09/01/2021 13:11

@MonkeyPuddle. Just make sure you don't take the cake to the park or it will be my duty to inform the authorities Halo.

MummaBear4321 · 09/01/2021 13:20

We went for a long and very cold walk to a local playground. I got speaking to another couple there. Its was so nice to have a conversation with someone who isnt DH 😆 stopped by a bakery on the way home and got a cream bun, but was flustered getting the kids out of the buggy on the way home and the dog ate it from the buggy basket. The bugger had cream all over his nose.
