So Kay Burley went to a Covid-safe restaurant, nipped to a different restaurant for the loo and then went back to her house with a few others.

To me, the issue was going back to her house with a group (in tier 2) but all the focus seems to be about going to the loo.

What rule did she go break about going to the toilet in a different restaurant? It doesn't mention a mask so I am assuming it's not that she failed to put a mask on?

Asking because I'd probably have done the same thing (also in tier 2) and can't see what the problem is.

Something I don't get is why there is no focus on the restaurants - it must have been pretty obvious this wasn't a single household bubble?

Piers Morgan has been silent on this.
But very vocal on how he thinks the "plebs" should stay home at Christmas. He fucked off to St Tropez in the summer.
He also had nothing to say about Grant Shapps allowing "high value" individuals to not quarantine when they come back from abroad.

Yeah Rita Ora did a lot worse, but im constantly suprised shes able to remember to breathe with her brain power so maybe she cant be blamed.

We have said for some time that Kate McCann is much better than Beth Rigby as she always sets out a balanced view in clear speech. I had got to the stage of turning off Sky when BR was on as I couldn't concentrate on what she was saying because her speech is so bad. I don't care how people speak in their private lives, but the missing "gs" in BR's pieces are totally unacceptable. She should concentrate on writing if she can't present properly.

was discussing this who debacle with my dh last night. The thing is it's broader than KB/BR/Rita Ora.
Every time someone in the public eye breaks the rules everyone in the UK is that little bit closer to saying 'why the f* should I follow the rules when they are not' which of course makes the rules far less likely to actually work. All of them should be fined and sacked to put the strongest possible message out there that this behaviour is not on.
