Hundreds and thousands - when you were growing up, were they little balls or little strands?

Hundreds and thousands are the multi coloured strands. Balls are balls, could crack a tooth on those puppies! 59, if that helps?

the dots came first because they were used in sweet making ( eg spogs and jazzies). If the longer sprinkles came first they would have been used instead.....

Strands. The calls are called something else I think! I want to say nobbly bobbles but I think I'm Getting confused with the lolly...
