Hundreds and thousands - when you were growing up, were they little balls or little strands?

It's strands for me

I remember Supercook Sugar Strands in different colours. I think Fab ice lollies were coated with them. Supercook did a chocolate version too.

The only tiny multicoloured balls I remember from the old days came in a digestible capsule as a cold and flu remedy!

Hundreds and thousands are tiny balls and the the little sticks are called sugar strands.

Hundreds and thousands were definitely multi coloured strands. Vermicelli is brown strands. Balls, silver or otherwise were just that... balls...
