I've always just put them under the tree but OH thinks they shouldn't go under the tree until the night before Xmas?

I love seeing presents under the three, it's a part of what makes a tree a tree for me so I always put mine under early! Stockings are cute little things and nice soaps but not throw away stuff, just things that will be used.

We put them under the tree on Christmas day - originally so the children wouldn't be tempted to shake them and try to guess what was there, and latterly because of the dogs - in case there was anything edible in there that would be too much of a temptation.

Mine are too old for the waiting for FC BUT we still believe in the magic and presents are put under Christmas Eve night.
Family present received do go straight under though.

Presents from/for family go under the tree. Presents from Santa are put out on Christmas Eve when children were in bed.

I always put a stocking in their bedroom with little gifts that they could open and play with straight away to keep them amused so that I could have a shower and dressed before going downstairs to see if "he's been". I am a mean parent.

Also, we used to put footprints made by Santa on the landing. Just shook talc around shoes to create "snowy" effect. They never seemed to notice that it was vacuumed away rather than melted!

Only presents from other family members go under the tree if they have been given prior to xmas day.

The kid's presents get put in their sacks or on a chair on xmas eve.
