Right, here’s where I think we’re at with my mega-theme from last night.
There’s might have to be a steward’s enquiry on the awarding of the prize for theme. @CoffeeBeansGalore, you were close with books - I had literature in mind as @ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf said. There are a few plays and a poem in there as well as novels. But of course plays and poems are published as books so 🤔🤔🤔🤔. I don’t know - perhaps you share the points for guessing the theme..?
I think there should be bonus points for getting some of the trickier connections - if you agree @coffeebeansgalore?
@midgebabe - goodness - you did well! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🏆
Yes to Good King Wenceslas, We Three Kings and O Little Town. But how do each of those fit with the theme ? 🤔.
Yes to Romeo and Juliet, Winter’s Tale and Rocket Man.
Yes to The Boo Radleys - the song is actually called Wake Up Boo but, as you pointed out, it’s the group that’s relevant to the theme. Boo Radley is a character in one of my favourite novels. Who can name it?
Midge yes - Rocket Man - anyone get the connection (this is a bit of an obscure one - I stumbled on it by chance)
Midge, you were very close with Steppingwolf but it’s not quite right and, again, it’s the group that is the connection. Anyone know? @CoffeeBeansGalore has correctly named the song - Born to Be Wild.
🌟👏 @clearingspaceonthetrophyshelf, well done for Paperback Writer, Wuthering Heights (of course!), Brave New World and Sensual World. I think a bonus point is in order for knowing the James Joyce connection (though I imagine you’ve awarded that already 😂)
I’ll repost annotated with what’s still up for grabs a little later.
