@JonHammIsMyJamm ,
I wash at least once a day, either bath, shower or at the sink. At this time of year, unless I'm doing anything strenuous , I do not need anything to cover up BO (as confirmed by at least one other!)
I do believe we are pushed messages about personal hygiene by TV, adverts in media, online etc. that leads many to slather themselves with unnecessary, and expensive chemical compounds, playing on an anxiety about our own bodies.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2020 12:21

Driclor. I put cream on after or it itches. Marvellous stuff.

@ifailed do you not exercise ever? I sweat buckets when I exercise and this is at least 3 times a week. If I exercise and don't wear Deodorant I smell rank!

H1978 · 21/11/2020 20:09

Thanks I’ll have to try that.

Madbengalmum · 21/11/2020 20:10

Sure Maximum, is great. Mitchum i found to be useless, v surprised at the love for it.

FurForksSake · 21/11/2020 20:15

I use Sanex roll on, the peach coloured one. Or vaseline roll on or cream, tried simple roll on, did nothing. My husband and I share one so saves buying multiple. That's probably weird.

PenguinErector · 21/11/2020 20:16

@IgorThalia not everyone needs different when they exercise either, I workout every day (I'm unfit and overweight so it's not exactly hardcore) but my arm pits don't get particularly sweaty - it's my torso that gets it strangely enough!

ThomasHardyPerennial · 21/11/2020 20:22

Lidl own brand roll-on, the one with the green lid. It's great!

QueenOfLabradors · 21/11/2020 20:28

'I shower every day (and often bathe in the evenings too) and still perspire during the day and require an antiperspirant to stop natural sweat smells.'

What's actually wrong with natural sweat smells?

motorcyclenumptiness · 21/11/2020 20:29

Aldi lacura , the linen-y one if I can get it - it's the only deodorant that puts a dent in my nervous sweatingGrin

luckymagnoliatree · 21/11/2020 20:33

Another Nuud lover here, it's amazing, I won't use anything else now. The tube lasts me absolutely ages, I don't have to apply it very often and it's just so effective.

everybodyknowsus · 21/11/2020 20:36

Another Mitchum fan here. I promise I don't work for them Grin

I like the bamboo coconut stick one in the morning. Pricey though. I also use the invisible gel one after my evening bath, it take an age to dry but seems to keep all sweat and smells at bay.

ladypete · 22/11/2020 03:49

Mitchum roll on. 13 years and counting.

DramaAlpaca · 22/11/2020 03:51

Mitchum here too.

Untangled87 · 22/11/2020 03:56

Mitchum powder fresh roll on

Ifailed · 22/11/2020 07:52

@IgorThalia
when I exercise I shower afterwards, sweat does not just build up in your arm pits.

lobsterkiller · 22/11/2020 08:05

Mitchum roll on.

pinkbalconyrailing · 22/11/2020 08:06

I don't use deodorant/anti-perspirant before exercising.
I sweat all over, doesn't make sense to me to apply deo before to a tiny part of my body.
I wash afterwards and apply it.

Brody77 · 22/11/2020 08:12

Yup Mitchum roll on for donkeys years and my Dh borrows mine too. It does ruin clothes armpits after a few years though...Blush

PinkDaydreams · 22/11/2020 08:16

I used to use mitchum roll on but took ages t dry and felt sticky so switched to the shower fresh spray. Unfortunately that stopped working so I'm now using men's sure invisible ice.
I'm noticing thats not working, any other ideas please?
Tried driclor, to be honest I need to start it again.

Nix2020 · 22/11/2020 08:20

I stopped using deodorant years ago
Never could get my head around stopping a natural body reaction to sweat. At first I did sweat more but after a few weeks I noticed I wasn't sweating as much. Now I'd never use deodorant again.

PinkDaydreams · 22/11/2020 08:26

I found washing underarms with a small amount of hibiscrub (recommended by a pharmacist) helps with whiff too.
But I'm still looking for a new deodorant??

Bluesheep8 · 22/11/2020 08:27

Sure Maximum Protection about 3x per week. Applied at night

Crapbuttrue · 22/11/2020 08:28

@RosieLemonade did you mean deodorant or antiperspirant? Mitchum is an antiperspirant. Deodorant stops or masks the smell. Natural deodorants stop the smell by counteracting the bacteria.
