I'm a bit boring always having the same few. Inspire me with your choices please!

I'm not great at crazy hot but some spice is nice haha.

I've had a rotten week, bring on a feast.

Chilli paneer
Tarka Dahl
Naan

MintyCedric · 20/11/2020 17:39

Korai is just as nice with chicken...has lovely big chunks of pepper and onion in it and not creamy but not overly hot either.

LyraBelaqua · 20/11/2020 17:39

Sagwalla, pathia or bhuna here. I fancy a curry now!

Chicken achari if it's on the menu!

Askinvillarblues · 20/11/2020 17:47

Oh now I really want a curry 😂

iklboogeymum · 20/11/2020 17:49

Tandoori fishcakes or onion bhaji starter

Chicken Tikka Murgh Makul - very tasty medium dish
Plain naan

tobee · 20/11/2020 17:50

Poppodoms and all the pickles etc

Biriyani - prawn or meat

Tarka dal

Bits of any other stuff going

That's my go to.

MrDarcysMa · 20/11/2020 17:56

Tandoori kind prawns and saag aloo for some moisture, then we share a roti and, Bahjis.

DaphneFanshaw · 20/11/2020 17:57

I am. Bit bored of the typical curries too.
I used to quite like a lamb saag, madras, jalfreze etc.
I went to a really lovely place that does a more contemporary style of curry and I don’t really fancy my old favourites anymore.
I quite like tandoori Lamb chops, chilli paneer and garlic naan.
I have to say that I have lost my curry mojo though.
Your meal sounds lovely. I just had a dominos.

Funkypolar · 20/11/2020 18:06

Chicken pasanda with a peshwari naan
Lamb samosas

smeerf · 20/11/2020 18:18

Salmon Hariyali (the green one), pilau, Bombay potatoes and veggie samosas

MustardMitt · 20/11/2020 18:21

I normally get a lamb biryani with a chicken tikka masala so I can put the sauce on top.

Also a garlic naan.

I like the great British favourites best plus lovely lovely rice Grin

FenellaVelour · 20/11/2020 18:22

Chicken tikka Ceylon with coconut rice. Could eat it now actually.

AgeLikeWine · 20/11/2020 18:23

I love Gujarati food and I often have a thali, or chilli paneer with puri and a masala dosa.

ThreeLittleBirdz · 20/11/2020 18:31

A butter Chicken curry or a Chicken Makhani masala-both are delicious!

FedUpWithBriiiiick · 20/11/2020 18:33

I like chicken tikka methi malai, or saag paneer. DH likes chicken tikka saag.

MrsWooster · 20/11/2020 18:38

DP is veggie so:
Vegetable dhansak main dish
Tarka dhal side
Bhindi Bhaji side
Pilau rice
Onion badger bhaji
Poppadums

The first night is a massive over feed for two then there’s enough for a second meal the next night.
I’m a dedicated carnivore but the vegetarian Indian food experience is well worth a try...

Arnoldthecat · 20/11/2020 18:45

Never use takeaways, always make my own. I highly recommend the "holy cow" range of sauces (Waitrose) if you cant be bothered producing your own sauces.

MargosKaftan · 20/11/2020 18:45

We only get an Indian takeaway every other month or so, so I do tend to order the same thing as its what I like and anything else will be not quite as good, and it's a long time to wait again.

Anyway, I get lamb rogen, rice , sag aloo, garlic naan and poppadoms plus a chutney selection. Dh gets something involving prawns, or is disappointed and a bit grumpy.

SunshineOutdoors · 20/11/2020 18:46

Prawn dansak

midsomermurderess · 20/11/2020 18:53

Some idli and vadai and a masala dosa.

nancybotwinbloom · 20/11/2020 19:23

I got mine from Asda tonight we have

Chicken tikka madras
Chicken tikka masala
Chicken pakora

Chinese sides of Prawn toast, spring rolls and prawn crackers.

josbd · 20/11/2020 19:44

For a mild curry, it's worth trying a chicken or lamb pasander which is like a super-korma. Butter chicken is also good and along the same lines.
