I'm a bit boring always having the same few. Inspire me with your choices please!

I'm not great at crazy hot but some spice is nice haha.

I've had a rotten week, bring on a feast.

Chicken tikka garlic chilli or a jalfreizi. Or tandoori king prawns.

movingonup20 · 20/11/2020 17:04

@TeddyIsaHe

Sounds like the place on my old street's menu, miss that place!

Babdoc · 20/11/2020 17:05

Methi gosh. It’s lamb, slow cooked with fenugreek leaves and mustard greens. Yummy. My local Indian restaurant grow their own herbs and spices on the family farm in India then import them to the UK.

And now I'm having flashbacks to the cauliflower bhaji I had one time, they were amazing 🤤

purrswhileheeats · 20/11/2020 17:07

Tandoori mixed grill for me too, with balti sauce on the side. Onion bhajis and lamb samosas to start 😋

cheekaa · 20/11/2020 17:08

Being a pescatarian , non dairy lover of Indian food: Malabar fish curry, tarka daal , baingan bhartha with plain rice and tandoori roti.

But would kill for a good Rava onion masala dosa !!

LegallyBlondeee · 20/11/2020 17:10

Lamb saag, keema rice, chips, keema naan, Indian mint sauce. Every.single.time. wipes dribble

CentrifugalBumblePuppy · 20/11/2020 17:11

MillieVanilla · 20/11/2020 17:14

Butter chicken
Saag Aloo

Lush lush lush

MintyCedric · 20/11/2020 17:15

Chicken or vegetable saag
Gobi also saag
Onion bhaji

Sometimes I just get a portion of tandoori chicken and make a huge fat sandwich of it with the garlic bread, onion salad and mint dip...mouth's watering now!

Marmite27 · 20/11/2020 17:16

I like Jalfrezi from supermarkets but find them a bit odd from restaurants/ takeaways.

Usually a Balti. I like tomatoey ones.

HavelockVetinari · 20/11/2020 17:17

Saag paneer and king prawn tandoori here! Yum.

VenusClapTrap · 20/11/2020 17:17

We’re getting a curry tonight! Can’t wait. I’m trying to decide between Lamb Pasanda or Lamb Bhuna. Or maybe Dhansak. Mmmmmmm.

nancybotwinbloom · 20/11/2020 17:19

Chicken tikka masala but the orange spicy one not the red cocunutty one.

Cheese nan

Lamb tikka chops

LadyCatStark · 20/11/2020 17:20

Tandoori chicken masala (it’s redder and tastier than tikka masala), half a pilau rice (shared with DS) half a garlic naan (also shared with DS) and popadoms and maybe a bahji (sp?) or samosa. If we’re going to a proper restaurant I’ll have prawn puri to start instead but obviously we can’t atm!

ladybee28 · 20/11/2020 17:20

Trouble with a question like this is you basically just get a repeat of your local's menu!

What are your usual preferences, OP, and what kind of a change do you fancy?

WellTidy · 20/11/2020 17:21

Railway lamb. It’s like a stew, made with lamb, potato, tomato and spinach. Really hearty.

chunkyrun · 20/11/2020 17:23

Lamb karahi

Very true.

Saying I don't like lamb would be a good start! I had no idea everyone loved lamb so much.

I usually get the creamy ones but I fancy getting more of a tomato/ onion Base one.

Paneer tikka is one of my favourites. Also egg curry or vegetable and egg malay or kashmiri.

Vegetable masala is really nice too

firesong · 20/11/2020 17:25

I like dhansak. Also enjoy potato curries of any kind. Yum

PurpleDaisies · 20/11/2020 17:30

Sag aloo
Aloo gobi
Chana dal or tarka dal
Veg biryani
Onion bhajis
Samosa
Poppadoms and pickles

CheltenhamLady · 20/11/2020 17:33

Methe, or Bhuna. I quite like Pasanda too. Enjoy!
