Sobbing over Children in Need - been hopeless ever since we had DD. It really makes you count your blessings. Popping reduced posh Co - Op pizzas in the oven soon. Working tomorrow then not sure what we’re doing. I’m making cottage pie for tea ( was supposed to do it tonight). DH making moussaka on Sunday. Yum. Looking forward to I’m A Celebrity, although not sure how it’s going to work in a Welsh castle instead of the Aussie jungle!

A wet dog walk in the local park. Then I’ve promised dd a drive to costa so she can have one of their new drinks. Just to get her dressed and out really it’s bribery!

itsgettingweird · 14/11/2020 06:54

Worked all week as I work in a school.

Meeting friend for a walk today whilst our boys play computer at hers. (We are in support bubble).

Watching crown Sunday and then I'm a celeb also have to do supermarket shop and wash bedding.

SocialBees · 14/11/2020 06:54

Go for a run and persuade the DC to take some exercise too. Housework, laundry etc. Takeaway. Strictly.

Duggeehugs82 · 14/11/2020 06:54

I love these threads, we r having a quiet Saturday and sunday day times, but tonight im doing a cocktail making night with friend on WhatsApp videocall , we have both brought the same ingredients and going to make cocktails and tomorrow night we r possibly having zoom scattergories games night with friends. In the day we will need to go to the park for my girls to play and we are buying a take away dinner from a local pub

Ihaveyourback · 14/11/2020 06:56

We have a roofer and a new tumble dryer arriving. Then a week's worth of laundry to do with said new dryer.
Tip run in the afternoon, finally cleared the house of clutter.
Homework with dc to finish off
We will walk dogs as soon as it brightens, dogs refuse to walk in the rain.
We will light the firepit and have an easy dinner this evening - if it is still raining then we will make an Italian dish or two this evening.
I am having a wine free weekend, so we will rustle up some non alcoholic cocktails.

Tomorrow I need to try and find a suit to work, as mine has a huge tear down the seam. Any suggestions? I thought M&S might be a good option.
A good roast and clean out all of the animals. Finish painting house ready for christmas. Using this time to prepare for December.

Can't wait for more exciting times!!!

WhoopsSomethingWentWrong · 14/11/2020 06:58

It’s one of the DC’s birthdays but she’s in isolation due to contact with a positive case at school so trying to make things fun for an 8 year old who can’t leave the house or see anyone.
DH and I will take it in turns to get the other DC out for some fresh air (in the rain).
Cleaning, washing, ironing.

Ihaveyourback · 14/11/2020 06:58

I have booked pilates on line for 4pm! I know I am going to forget

slothtrot · 14/11/2020 07:00

Cleaning the bathroom, replacing the floor and not much else.

beela · 14/11/2020 07:11

We're trying an online art class this morning. It will either be a massive success and happily fill a morning with something productive and educational, or both dc will wander off and I'll be left following an art class aimed at primary school children on my own.

Our National Trust tickets have been cancelled due to the weather, which is a bit annoying. Might go for a run in the rain. Dc want to play monopoly.

beela · 14/11/2020 07:13

I've just reread my post and realised how poncy it sounds Blush those are the things, that we will be doing aside from massive amounts of screen time and trying to tidy the house.

Ihaveyourback · 14/11/2020 07:13

Can you link the childrens on line art class please beela

Ihaveyourback · 14/11/2020 07:14

Sounds great!

Why does an online art class, a run in the rain and Monopoly sound poncy?

It sounds lovely, id love to book some zoom classes but just cannot find anything suitable for my older girl as she has autism so wouldnt engage, might try and look for me!
Prokupatuscrakedatus · 14/11/2020 07:22

DS is in isolation, so I am WFH.
DD and I will bake a chocolate cake. Then there is the usual weekend cleaning and food shopping.
And I' ve got several new books and my language courses, too.

beela · 14/11/2020 07:26

Maybe not poncy. Just maybe a bit middle class.

Anyway, here's a link to the art thing, they do lots of different classes:

today - going for a run in a bit. Home for nice soak in the bath.
then cleaning blitz
having a takeawy for a treat this evening, and will do usual Saturday family movie night
tomorrow will be lots of laundry, more cleaning and make sure ds (12) is all set up for his week of home learning next week - oh joy! Also going to make some bread and bake a cake.

Actually a farirly typical weekend here.

Snog · 14/11/2020 08:01

Menu planning with DH this morning and hopefully some nice autumn walks together between showers. DH is doing the cooking all weekend.

I'd like to make some Christmas cards and order some gifts online. Am also working my way through the films of de Niro and Pacino with dd. Anyone have a fave to recommend?

lazylump72 · 14/11/2020 08:01

I am up and waiting for the day to begin for this weekend I shall be fully engrossed in my dds homework with her...she has to create and build the 8th wonder of the world! If it ends up looking like anything at all I will count it as a win! Our family is so not arty or crafty in any way and the underwater unicorn palace is sure to produce tears before bedtime I feel...Its going to be a looooooong day!!!!

Passthecake30 · 14/11/2020 08:09

Omg lazy I do not envy you!

ChristmasRedSpottyScarf · 14/11/2020 08:26

I am trying to spend alot of time with DS1 who needs to get off his ipad as there is a bit of cyber bullying going on. (The school is aware).

So, baking, painting christmas cards together, a walk etc are all planned. DH is doing his tax return.

lollipoprainbow · 14/11/2020 08:32

@Iminaglasscaseofemotion I thought Ikea was shut !!

Ihaveyourback · 14/11/2020 08:36

Thank you beela I am really grateful for the link, it looks just what we are looking for! Excellent options there for dc.

Does anyone else have on line classes like this or stuff of interest? I am really finding it hard to keep the kids motivated and away from screens with the rain forecast.

Dontstepinthecowpat · 14/11/2020 08:46

In on to the pharmacy then deep cleaning the house as DS (10) has worms Envy someone obviously hasn’t got the hand washing memo!

DH our with a friend tonight so I’m looking forward to getting the DC to bed and watching something easy going on TV.

badlydrawnbear · 14/11/2020 09:00

I have the whole weekend off work, as I swapped my shifts weeks ago so DH could go away with friends and that obviously isn't happening anymore.
However, it is forecast to pour with rain all weekend, which limits any enjoyable things we could do. We still might go to a National Trust place anyway in our wellies and rain coats tomorrow. Otherwise, making DC do homework (there was no homework except reading books for DC2 until last week and now they both have several pieces a week). Everyone else is still in bed here. DC1 got up, had breakfast and has gone back to bed, I need to go and wake DC2 up now as she was awake more than once in the night.
I am cooking a vegan shepherds pie tonight and DH is making a dhal tomorrow in his new instant pot.
