What is this in my Percy pig bag please? We just got to the bottom of the bag and found this? Hmm

Think they have a few quality control issues in their German suppliers factory.

I'd send them some pics and wait for the Percy Pig hamper of goodies to arrive. Or settle for the light up gin they are advertising.

SockDrawer · 12/11/2020 21:33

Bloody hell, M & S are full of surprises atm. Last week another MNer found a hair bobble in her Marks and Sparks fish fingers!

Oh yeah! What happened about that in the end?

Percypigmystery · 12/11/2020 21:45

Grin thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I’ll let you know what they say Hmm

Percy pigs are fucking rank now and I refuse to eat them. Yuk. We've started having squashies which are much nicer.

AllPlayedOut · 12/11/2020 21:50

Hampers? I'm really starting to regret having eaten my bonus skull sweet now.

xoxogossipgirl2020 · 12/11/2020 22:01

@SonjaMorgan I have complained about something similar before 🤣🤣🤣 it makes me laugh when I think about it. I must have been having a bad day for the colour combo in my sweets to have driven me to write a strongly worded email 🤣

poachedeggsandmushrooms · 12/11/2020 22:15

@LintonTravelTavern

Do not eat it - varnish it Grin
Thank you, I've had a shit day and that just made me laugh out loud Grin
BusySittingDown · 13/11/2020 05:44

@SockDrawer they offered her a refund.

LintonTravelTavern · 13/11/2020 08:08

On reflection of my suggestion of varnishing the little squish of joy, I would still like you to do that, but can you glue a little magnet on the back and stick him/her on your fridge please?

Than-ya-very-much

@AllPlayedOut

Percy Pigs are made in Germany so it looks like one of these got in there.
Ha ha! This is why I love this place. Mumsnetters know EVERYTHING!
BaronessBomburst · 13/11/2020 08:22

The company who makes them (Katja) are actually Dutch. They have two factories, one of which is just over the border in Emmerich, Germany.

BaronessBomburst · 13/11/2020 08:27

Apekoppen are the best. Liquorice and banana flavour monkeys. Then there's the Zoo Mix, the Farmyard Mix......
Percy Pigs are just the tip of the iceberg.

yaboo · 13/11/2020 09:52

It's Percy's stalker...

Percypigmystery · 13/11/2020 09:58

Thanks for all the messages. I have a response Grin

LadyEloise · 13/11/2020 10:06

Mumsnetters do know everything Shock
How did you know where Percy Pigs were made @AllPlayedOut and @BaronessBomburst ?

tattychicken · 13/11/2020 10:10

£10 voucher? That's better than a poke in the eye...

BaronessBomburst · 13/11/2020 10:12

I live in NL and know that Katja is a Dutch brand. So I googled the company and found the address of their factories.
Percy Pigs here are called Biggetjes and their ears come in different flavours: cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. I like the cherry ones best.

Plussizejumpsuit · 13/11/2020 10:15

Katjes are veggie too aren't they?

Plussizejumpsuit · 13/11/2020 10:17

That's a lot more grim! Eeeww makes me shudder.
SonjaMorgan · 13/11/2020 10:17
@SonjaMorgan to be fair, what good would a pack of fruit pastels be with the red and black!

Although I’m one of those weirdos that like the green fruit gums the best!
You are a monster.

BaronessBomburst · 13/11/2020 10:19

The bright pink are cherry, the medium pink are raspberry, and the paler ears to the right edge of the picture are strawberry.
You can't tell in the dark so I don't advise eating them in the cinema. Grin

Enjoy your £10 voucher OP.

AllPlayedOut · 13/11/2020 10:22

How did you know where Percy Pigs were made @AllPlayedOut and @BaronessBomburst ?

I'd read it somewhere before so I made a Google search with a description of the rogue sweet but in German and found the Milchkater. I've had some of their other products before but not those. They look good.

I wish that I liked liquorice because the monkeys that BaronessBomburst described, sound good.
