Not really sure what the point of posting this is.

I just want a rant really.

Does anybody frequent the tattle forums? (Not sure if we're meant to actually talk about other forums on here?)

I'm quite frustrated with the mods. I replied to a particular on a particular thread for a young social media influencer weeks ago to say I didn't think it was constructive to call her ugly. I was banned from the site within minutes without warning.

I still have the odd lurk and have seen it's just happened to someone else on the same thread. This person pointed out it might be better to discuss her questionable actions and not the fact she's 'ugly with a flat arse, saggy boobs and a podgy stomach' and they were banned and their post removed.

Seems they love a pile on without letting anyone disagree!

@HotSince63 does have a point

Nousernamesleftatall · 29/11/2020 17:30

@hotsince63

No not a member. I do read it when people mention it on forums or Instagram.

HotSince63 · 29/11/2020 17:32

@Nousernamesleftatall my comment was to the OP Confused

IPeedInThePool · 29/11/2020 17:40

I have a little read every now and then ....oh my days some people are so nasty and vile on there. They have a habit of driving past Katie price house with that new squeeze well I think it’s his house to see if there in and what colour car is outside ect sorry but that’s just sad

MrsShelton · 29/11/2020 17:44

i've just been time wasting over there this afternoon

push aside the hate and there are some very valid concerns and questions

are these 'influencers' ashamed of the brand work? as they really seem to dislike complying with rules and marking it correctly as an ad!!

Everythingmagnolia · 29/11/2020 18:05

I have lost an hour down the tattle rabbit hole! I think a lot of points people make are quite valid, such as the non disclosure of ads and pimping out of children and babies for cashback ads etc, but then I read about an influencer whose husband has allegedly cheated on her, and the poster has gone into detail, and I think that goes too far.

Sparklingbrook · 29/11/2020 18:09

I battled with the 'Adblocker Detected!' pop up for long enough to look at the Rave section but found I didn't recognise the names of anyone they were raving about with the exception of Harry Styles. Grin

IHaveBrilloHair · 29/11/2020 21:10

Well it's obligatory to rave over Harry Styles Grin

MrsShelton · 29/11/2020 21:17

@IHaveBrilloHair

yes i thought that too!!
Sparklingbrook · 29/11/2020 22:14

If I was a teenager I would be all over Harry Styles that’s for sure. 😂

YesIDoLoveCrisps · 29/11/2020 22:33

They hate Stacy Solomon and criticise everything she does. The other day they were complained about the type of sugar she used in her tea saying she’s a stupid bitch Shock

MrsShelton · 29/11/2020 22:46

i've just read about some of the instamums on there. a few good points raised but the rebecca ellen lamb threads were quite funny

the ingham family and FOD left me speechless!!

YesIDoLoveCrisps · 29/11/2020 23:23

What did they say about them?

MrsShelton · 29/11/2020 23:34

just the picking on every little thing i couldn't believe the pettiness. Th Inghams appear to have built a small business but its being ripped apart and they apparently aren't doing enough to help the homeless etc etc, just screen shots and twisting of it all

haircutsRus · 29/11/2020 23:46

I wouldn't know an influencer if I fell over one. And quite honestly, I really couldn't be arsed to follow someone else's life. Not my cup of tea really.

lemonsquashie · 30/11/2020 15:08

I saw stacey S post something about how people were saying she has hairy arms. Presume she meant the Tattlers

pringlebells · 30/11/2020 15:09

Ooo that site is nasty

ContadoraExplorer · 30/11/2020 16:59

I came across Tattle a while ago when I was Googling for something I had previously seen on Instagram that I wanted to share with a friend . Read a few pages about the "influencer" in question and the things they were saying were truly vile.

There may very well be activity on the forum which highlights non-disclosure of advertising etc. although I didn't look that far because it disgusted me.

The people seemed to stalk this one influencer, the language used in their comments suggested they were posting almost instantly after the person had posted a story/video/picture and they weren't just saying, for example, how they didn't like the way they had shared a particular post or that the person hadn't put "ad" in the story, they said really horrible things about the person's personality, physical appearance and their perception of how that person treated their close friends and family.

You have to question why someone would feel the need to do that. Is it a genuine hatred for a person they see online? Fuelled by a mob mentality on a forum of like minded people?

I absolutely understand not liking a celebrity, I dislike watching plenty of them, but if they come on I generally turn the tv to another channel, I don't go looking at their social media accounts and talk about them on a forum all the time 🤔

MrDarcysMa · 30/11/2020 17:32

yes I went into a rabbit hole and ended up registering to comment on a thread that I think they should stick to facts and evidence based rather than personal appearance comments. I got banned. apparently you're meant to report those comments and not comment on them.

Ireallywantsomechips · 30/11/2020 18:06

Most of the threads I follow on there don’t say anything vile about the influencer/blogger whatever. And most of the time the tattlers will call out an unnecessary comment.

Some of the others though good grief! I’m a right shit mum apparently, but then I’d never put myself out there for anyone to judge!

I had the same OP, on one of the nastier judgy threads I wrote saying I fail to see what relevance how many people she has slept with has or something to that effect, after some awful things were said. My comment was removed and I was reprimanded for moderating what others said. However several people after me finally managed to say the same thing Hmm

GoodbyePorpoiseSpit · 30/11/2020 18:28

I vaguely know an influencer in real life through a family member and have also looked at tattle life as there was a long long running thread about her - the information the tattle posters have on her, her family on her family set up, her parents, step parents exes, kids, holidays, job is OFF THE HOOK. All completely correct. Either her mates post on there or they are going through her bins.

MrsShelton · 30/11/2020 18:36

i think over time the influencer themselves revel all the details

if you name one randomly now i could go on to their insta page and come back within the hour with very personal stuff likely including town they live in, kids details etc

i could probably bring a detailed plan on how to break into their homes too

sad ,i know!

lemonsquashie · 30/11/2020 20:47

@MrsShelton you're right. And most of them
Have kids who don't have any privacy

Gingerkittykat · 30/11/2020 21:49

@lemonsquashie

They also hate that budget chef
I've got mixed feelings about that one. The budget chef can be pretty vile herself instigating pile ons on David Walliams, Jamie Oliver and others. She also contradicts herself frequently and can be hypocritical. I don't think calling out bad behaviour is a bad thing.

However they can also be pretty vicious about a load of things and hating her seems like an obsession for some.

Greensleeves90 · 01/12/2020 07:14

@MrsShelton

The dad of the Ingham family was caught last year messaging young fans, including asking a 16 year old to sneak away from her family to go skinny dipping with him and asking others to send nude photos. This is fact and was confirmed by police, he only dodged anything legal happening because she was 16 🤢 and yet he can still broadcast on YouTube and sets up private Facebook fan accounts! the mum sells blankets from Wish and Alibaba (they have been found on there, not speculation) for £40, excluding delivery, to their mainly very young abs vulnerable fan base. It’s not a business she has built up 😂 it’s complete taking advantage.

I love tattle! It keeps issues like the above coming to light in the shady world of YouTube and social media. As these comments show looking at a couple of threads there won’t give you the full details. They have wiki pages for these “influencers”, go have a read and your eyes will be truly opened!

For those on here hating it so much - you sure seem to know a lot about it and spend a lot of time on there. Why look at it if it bothers you so much - isn’t that what we are always being told about influencers, to scroll on by? Overinvested people who read a lot on there and hate it...who could you be...
