Anyone else slightly addicted to Pepsi Max

Slight newbie here, so apologies if I'm in the wrong forum!

My SO and I often go to a large supermarket-esque warehouse (unsure if I can say) and I've found myself each time buying an entire palette of Pepsi Max. I cannot help myself!

I feel some days i drink 3-4 cans of the fizzy pop. A couple of my friends drink a lot too. But is drinking Pepsi Max just a mum thing?!?! Confused

My son caught me with a multipack of 24 in my boot - found it embarrassing but I cannot recall a time when I didn't have a couple of bonus cans in my boot. Mums! Help me!

Coke Zero for me. Completely addicted.
It has to be in a can and ice cold though.

What on earth is a mum thing and why on earth would you even for one single second think that drinking Pepsi max and/or lots of fizzy drinks is something that only mums do?

@Gingernaut

Is the Aldi stuff as good?
I really like it. I buy it more than I buy Pepsi Max as I do my shopping in Aldi anyway. £1.29 for 6 cans.

Bottle of Aldi Pepsi Max is 50p, DH converted easily!!!

Still relieved he's given up though!

Not yet but I could quite easily become addicted to the cherry one

Addicted? How terrifying to be unable to control yourself in the presence of a fizzy drink. I never drink anything like that and I don’t think it’s a laughing matter to be “addicted”. The effect on your weight, your teeth and your internal organs must be incredible.

SmallHouse · 09/11/2020 12:03

@Janegrey333 very rude of you to assume about the state of my health and weight!! Lighten up!!!!

I used to drink about 3 litres a day! I would wake up craving it and actually get annoyed if I didn’t have any to hand! I went cold turkey and I felt like I had the flu. But only lasted a few days, haven’t touched a drop for a few years- I can’t trust myself. God knows how much money I spent on the stuff!

Does the Aldi one have different flavours? Don't know what I want the answer to be - 'no' oh well, I only drink cherry or ginger anyway so won't get any extra, or 'yes' and I'll buy more of the stuff because it's cheaper.

Gingernaut · 09/11/2020 22:57

I bought a bottle of the Aldi stuff today.

I'll try it tomorrow.

Cherry Pepsi Max is one of my absolute favourite things in the whole world (tragic I know) but you can't get it in Canada (also tragic 😭). Visiting me from the UK is subject to hitting WH Smith in Departures and bringing as many 500ml bottles as you can physically carry onto the plane. I prefer cans but they'd make hold baggage pretty heavy.
