I fell back asleep this morning and had a dream of my mam.

She was crying, and i put my arm around her.And then i woke up.

Shes been dead 20 ears. But something about the dream has upset me,and left me feeling tearful all day.

I just want to cry and go to bed.

I never met my mum's mum but she is in my dreams often. I only know her through photos and my mum's rare stories but in my dreams I am often making a pot of tea and I go outside and we sit in the sunshine together. Sometimes my grandad, who I did know, is with us too and I feel so happy when I wake up from the dream and he's been there too. I feel so safe sitting there with them.

I have dreams about my Nan and Grandad. I think it’s a bit like having a really cool dream about a celebrity. When your a bit down or lacking in confidence they appear and make you feel better.

My parents are n my dreams sometimes. So is my first, sweet husband. Unfortunately so is the bullying second one!

@BorderlineHappy. Thank you. I lost five overall. Number six is sitting next to me reading a book (she’s nine now!) The dream gave me comfort. X

Ah sorry op, these dreams can sometimes bring comfort but also sometimes stir up sad feelings too. I lost my mum when she was 52, (over 20 years ago) and in the first few years following her death would dream about her illness which was upsetting. Now, she only appears every so often, but the dreams are hugely comforting. Sometimes she is much younger and I am a child again, sometimes she is older and giving advice or scolding me Grin
I truly appreciate the dreams now, I often get to hear her very distinctive husky voice.
