roarfeckingroarr · 16/10/2020 00:26

You can't make people choose between stuffing and Yorkshire puddings. Cruel.

Floralnomad · 16/10/2020 00:43

Lamb
Roast potatoes
Yorkshire pudding
Carrots / cauliflower cheese / broccoli ( although I’d rather have leeks )
Gravy
I don’t want a pudding can I have a starter instead .

You’re missing a few of my favourites from your menu.

No meat-classic nut roast.
Roast potatoes
Yorkshire puddings
Spiced red cabbage
Sauté sprouts with chestnuts
A mix of roast carrots, parsnip and beetroot
Gravy
Bread sauce
Cranberry sauce

Ratatouille is not a good veggie option. Roasts must have gravy and gravy with ratatouille is just bad!

BabyLlamaZen · 16/10/2020 07:02

Where's the veggie option? 😢

Impatientwino · 16/10/2020 07:18

Rib of beef
Roast potatoes (but was sorely tempted by rosti!)
Yorkshire pudding
Roast parsnips
Cauliflower Cheese
Steamed broccoli
Gravy

I'll sneak in my own English mustard and can I swap my dessert for seconds of Yorkshire pudding please

bearlyactive · 16/10/2020 07:23

Ham

Duchess (because I've always wanted to try them)

Yorkshires

Carrots, fine beans and cauliflower cheese

Creme brulee

Deathraystare · 16/10/2020 07:26

I don't eat meat but I do eat salmon so it would have to be that (unless I am 'allowed' a nut roast. I would prefer a nut roast as I can then have bread sauce (not sure it goes with salmon!). Roast potatoes (only time I have them), cauliflower cheese, (would also like Yorkies tho!), creamed spinach, creme brulee (you ruined the apple pie by putting blackberries in it!).

kingdomcapers · 16/10/2020 07:37

Beef
Roast potatoes
Yorkshires
Roast parsnips, carrots, broccoli (also red cabbage if poss)
Gravy
Apple & blackberry pie & cream

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 16/10/2020 07:41

I would not be frequenting this ‘chose one side’ restaurant.

And if it were a ‘mates’ house, I’d be posting on here (negatively) about such heinous restrictions and miserliness once home.

Bagadverts · 16/10/2020 07:44

This thread is making me feel hungry Smile
Lamb,
roast potatoes,
Yorkshire pudding,
Roast Parsnips,
carrot batton

Steamed broccoli
I’d like mint sauce and gravy, perfectly happy with mint sauce out of a jar so no extra work for the cook.

Chocolate Fudge cake with vanilla icecream

Crockof · 16/10/2020 07:52

You were doing so well, very impressed with the roast choices but the puddings 😲

Hangingover · 16/10/2020 07:55

I'm vegan so I assume I'm allowed ALL the veggies Grin

Hangingover · 16/10/2020 07:59

With gravy obvs Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 16/10/2020 08:28

Do you want golden syrup with your pudding pud?

ImNotWhoYouThinkIam · 16/10/2020 08:46

Between this and the lasagne thread I cant wait to for the weekend as I'm away so eating out for a couple of days. Looks like I'll be finding somewhere that does lasagne one day and Grandad is taking us all for a roast on Sunday Grin (by all I mean 3 of us. No rules will be broken)

EerilyDeleted · 16/10/2020 08:48

Lasagne - must have cheese
Roast - must never have cheese

You can't possibly pick between Yorkshire's and stuffing or mash and roasties! Grin

MaliceOrgan · 16/10/2020 09:01

Can I have broccoli cheese instead?
