WFH......WTF

Seriously though, how the hell do people with families work from home? I only did it for 2 days while I was recovering from some minor surgery - I work in the NHS so normally go in.
Every darned meeting I had the cat was either wailing outside the door or sitting on my lap saying cheese for the camera.
What do you do with your small kids/husband. How do you block out the noise, how is it even possible?

It's fucking hard work.

I rang HSBC recently and was warned that because every one is wfh there may be "background family or pet noises".

I manage ok most of the time, so long as no one else has an emotional moment, but not easy as we are not drowning in space (understatement).

But I genuinely hated some aspects of office life so for me the positives outweigh the negatives. Am aware some of my colleagues feel differently and it's getting to them.

@Cattermole it’s gotten like that for me! Medium cat likes to launch herself onto the back of my office chair, to make a dramatic entrance.

People never saw the others, until yesterday when people during the Teams call demanded a tour of the cat tower. Tiny cat was asleep on top of it but woke briefly woke. She chirupped at them and then yawned, her public seemed to like her. Large cat likes to keep a low profile

Every bloody call. I know for a fact she works in an office with a door that closes, shut the bloody door and keep your cat out.

If DH shut the door that would just result in very loud howling cat which is considerably more annoying that cat-bombing.

Yep, I shut the door sometimes but if just results in scratching at the door and howling.
