Cycled 10 miles to swim in a river. Even when the temperature has dropped to 9 degrees!
Swimming was the one thing I really missed in lockdown and I was so pleased to be able to join the Serpentine Swimming club. Even though the indoor pools are now open I want to see how long I can keep this up. Swimming with the swans is great!
What's your experience?

...known how happy we are just at home alone as a family.

Or not eaten out for 7 months and not care.

TinkersRucksack · 27/09/2020 15:48

Gone through so much hand soap

iklboo · 27/09/2020 15:57

Sat outside to have a drink unless it was blisteringly hot weather.

cricketmum84 · 27/09/2020 16:11

Been so excited to find yeast!

Juniperandrage · 27/09/2020 16:14

said "jesus christ! just close the fucking borders!"

maddiemookins16mum · 27/09/2020 16:23

....be the only person in an office that had 145 and have to literally print out/post all the documents myself.

LindaEllen · 27/09/2020 16:59

Cry because I can't hug my mum.
Honestly, me and my mum aren't the 'huggiest' of people, we've never had a super close mother-daughter bond, but I would give anything at this moment to just be able to go and hug her and sit in the living room with the rest of the family and have a takeaway.

Zenithbear · 27/09/2020 17:04

Stayed in on a Friday night and Saturday night.
Valeted my own car.
Cut dps hair.
Run out of eggs.

YourHandInMyHand · 27/09/2020 17:17

... thought I'd be a single mum again

.....thought I'd be without a wage again

.... thought I'd be back on anti anxiety meds

.....thought my confident sociable toddler would become scared of people and places that weren't mummy or home.

Sad Sad Sad Sad

@PicsInRed

Marched resolutely into a bank wearing a mask.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
BestOption · 27/09/2020 17:41

@PuddleglumtheMarshWiggle
Kudos - too cold for me today!

Trying to think of something positive...can't.

Pleased for those who managed to do something productive!

MojoJojo71 · 27/09/2020 17:48

Scrubbed my bathroom grout with a tooth brush. Self isolation is boring!

dementedma · 27/09/2020 17:49

Let ds cut my hair
Cut dh's hair
Worn a mask in the shops
Baked so much
Been utterly depressed and isolated
Taken work phone calls while still in bed or in pjs

MojoJojo71 · 27/09/2020 17:50

@YourHandInMyHand sorry you’re having such a tough time, hope things get better for you and your little one soon Flowers

dementedma · 27/09/2020 17:50

I forgot...like the OP, gone wild swimming!

Greentulips1 · 27/09/2020 17:50

Throw toilet rolls over the garden fence for my neighbour

VaggieMight · 27/09/2020 17:52

Worked in my nightie

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 27/09/2020 17:52

Got up at 4.55am to exercise before work.

I got really into home workouts as a way to stop me losing my temper with the DC and now we're back in the office I'm taking hitherto unprecedented steps to maintain my fitness. I barely recognise myself 😂

EchoLimaYankee · 27/09/2020 18:02

Worked full time from home. I’m a teacher (and yes, I did actually work 😉).

SimonJT · 27/09/2020 18:07

Eaten nothing but takeaway (including breakfast) for over a week as we couldn’t get a delivery slot and my son had a temperature so we couldn’t leave the flat. I did have an ocado delivery that week, but as the website was down I couldn’t alter the basket so I just had a delivery of £50 of beer. While it was a yummy food week, it was very expensive.

Spent so much time as a little family unit with no one else around, I have missed my friends so much, but having time just as the three of us has been lovely.

Supplied a neighbour with emergency toilet roll (I use who gives a crap so we always have loads).

MirandaMarple · 27/09/2020 18:12

Used the 'click and go' in a supermarket (I know?!)

Porcupine83 · 27/09/2020 18:17

Sat on a park bench with a friend and a takeaway coffee and viewed it as the most exciting event in my social calendar

LunaLoveFood · 27/09/2020 18:17

Worked from home (I work in a school as pastoral support)

edwinbear · 27/09/2020 18:21

Lost 1.5 stone. Used the time I used to spend commuting, exercising. Stopped drinking so much and eating so much better now I can make lunch at home.

lazylump72 · 27/09/2020 18:52

been furloughed!
