Autumn 🍁🍂

The cooler weather has finally arrived! I'm in the south and it's been very warm, verging on hot, for weeks now with hardly any rain. I try not to complain (much!) but I find the heat hard going. Last night I awoke to rain on the window and it feels gloriously fresh this morning.

I love this time of year. Still light in the evenings but not hot and sweaty and the cool nights are wonderful for sleeping.

Time to dust off my boots and jumpers and plan some casseroles Smile

Anyone else love Autumn?

I love Autumn , it's my fave time but I am struggling to find the joy this year and it is making me sad

Oh I'm sorry to hear that crochetmonkey74. Why do you think that is? (or is it the obvious - I mean the pandemic?)

Sorry to hear that crochetmonkey. I hope things improve for you, and that you'll be able to see a ray of sunshine behind the clouds sometime soon.

windier - I actually got a load of washing dry today on the line!

Sorry to hear you are struggling @crochetmonkey74.

Not sure what happened to the top of that post - it went

The weather up here in Yorkshire has been a lot sunnier this week, I was expecting it to be wet and windier... etc

Yesterday, we collected sweet chestnuts on a walk. Fun to collect! Then we roasted them outside on a fire - brilliant. Then we tried to eat them. Hard to open (they were kind of powdery inside), and were not especially delicious. Perhaps we did something wrong?
Anyway, keeping up the autumn celebrations, however misguidedly...
