Lovely September day here in Cornwall & I really should be out in the sun. Still, I’m not working again until Thursday so can hopefully get in a couple of beach trips. I have joined a women’s sea swimming group & am looking forward to meeting everyone soon. Worked a 5 hour shift today so enjoying chilling out whilst DD11 is at a friend’s & DH still working. Chippy tea tonight yum. I usually have cod & chips but really fancy a battered jumbo sausage. We’ll probably watch BGT & attempt to separate DD from her phone! I need to strip her bed & the dishwasher needs unloading/ loading again. A big basket of clothes to hang out too. Hey Ho! We have nice plans for tomorrow ( beach that has sea glass, lunch in the cafe there & the arcade that DD loves to visit, plus buying paint for DD’s room). I also have rather less interesting things to sort like haircuts & getting the car valeted. Oh & I might persuade DH to dye my hair. Got a new shade to try ( Iced Chocolate) & I have a fair bit of grey starting to show 😢 He really doesn’t like doing it but always does & does it well, bless him.

I am eating my dinner, DC are playing minecraft while waiting for the ice cream to soften enough that I can get it out the box, DH has fucked off to Wales to do his hobby for the weekend. We had jacket potato hot dogs for dinner, literally sausages in jacket potatoes, with baked beans, DC thought it was amazing! It was sunny here and warm I think, but we couldn't go out because DC1's year group had a positive COVID case so she can't leave the house.
Tomorrow I return to doing 2 jobs in 1 day (will be a teacher catching up with the work DC1 has been set in the day and a nurse at night)

Dd did a mock 11+ today. The test has been postponed so it won’t be done and dusted this month. Got a personal best on my pedometer today! I’m trying to walk more before the nights draw in. DH and I did some gardening - I love cutting back and trying to tidy up! Dd baked some brownies in the afternoon which we had for pudding; they were delicious... Masterchef on the tv now. Ds still gaming.

Nothing much.
We're all self isolating until Ds test comes back.
Dd has done school work and is now experimenting with eye make up looks
Ds has baked cookies with Dd and us in the Xbox
Dh has pottered and watched football
I've been in bed all day not feeling it today at all
We've just had takeaway for tea

DS made chicken biriyani and garlic flatbreads. Now he & DH are playing Zelda Breath Of The Wild while I'm MNing and playing games on my tablet. Radio 2 Festival At Home on the radio.

Just eaten M&S Chinese for tea.

Going to go to bed shortly, Im struggling with period pain so I want chocolate, a hot water bottle and an early night.

I'm currently sat in ds room waiting for him to stop tearing around for 5 minutes so I can change his nappy and get him ready for bed.
DH is downstairs, he was steam mopping, but it sounds like he's on the phone now 😂
The dog is asleep somewhere.

We've had a pretty quiet day, me and DH went for a swim and hot tub while the DC had their tennis lesson.

Cleaned the house (pointless as my kitchen is being ripped out on Monday 🤔). Now I'm sitting with a glass of freixenet while DH, DBIL and DH's friend are watching the match in the garden. I'm on FB messenger and WhatsApp catching up with people.

Reading these messages with all the lovely weather while here just outside Glasgow absolutely pissing down 😣

I'm 50 miles away with dh for the weekend and have left teens (16 and 18) home alone, so pretty much anything could be happening.

DD11 is out with friends, should be home soon as its starting to get dark. DD2 is refusing to get out of the bath and shouting at Alexa to play baby shark (Alexa can't understand her though luckily). Been for lunch with my mum today then cleaned the paddling pool ready to hopefully use tomorrow. Once big DD is home and little DD in bed we will eat crisps and do facemasks while she tells me all about what she's been up to

Thanks for all my sympathy. I don't deserve it, I'm just cold and moaning. I'm doing OK and shouldn't complain.

DH and DD2 went out and did the shopping today, as I have a cough and a cold, so there's no way I'm going out in public!

DD1 stayed home and studied, I finished the housework, did a couple of loads of washing, stopped the cat from going AWOL.

Now DH is making tea, I'm snuffling, sneezing, and threatening to get Sky because TV is so bad, can't make the bed because the cat has schlurmed out on in as revenge for not being allowed to run away, and DD2 had better get her arse home from having gone roller skating with her friend.

Just had dinner. DH watching Star Trek. DDog on another chair staring at me. I am on Tesco app trying to reduce my food bill 😂

Chilled in the morning drawing with ds and mumsnetting whilst he watched cbeebies, the horror 😉 Then he napped after dinner and we went for a walk where he (hopefully) didn't destroy a pair of white pants splashing in puddles for half an hour..then we had tea, then went in the bath with him and finally soaking in a candlelit bubble bath with a good book (The Suspect by Fiona Barton: about a policeman and reporter investigating two teenage girls who go missing on a trip round thailand), whilst dh watches ds. Bliss. Guinness and black and Married at First Sight Australia later and possibly starting Desperate Housewives for the first time...if it's worth it??

@AquarianSquirrel - Desperate Housewives is great. Jealous of you being able to watch it from the start. It’s very dark and twisty but also great fun.

I am currently waiting for my tea to finish cooking. (Making my own loaded chips with bacon and cheese, and NO hidden Jalapeno looking at you, Aldi )

Sat watching a bit of TV while on MN, DD has her favourite Air Crash programmes on. DS is upstairs in his room, getting on with some homework, after which (if he hasn't already finished) he'll no doubt be watching some YouTube or doing a spot of gaming.

Stepdd1 is showing me some series on Netflix that she likes. Dp has lit a fire because he's cold , stepdd2 is in bed watching something on her iPad. Dp will go read her a story in a minute.

Ds is about to find the football to watch, dd and her Boyf (who lived with us during lockdown) is cooking beef bourguinon for us.

I've got a decaf coffee, Dp has a glass of wine I think. I've also been picking the apples off the tree and I'm pondering what to do with them :)

We had tacos for tea and watched Shrek, then had an hour challenging the dc to various riddles and puzzles. It was lovely! Now dp is putting the dc to bed and I am making a coffee and doing some work as I suspect we will have an inspection next week so I have to check everything!
