I've had them in restaurants before and they've been nice, but every time I cook them at home they just taste bland. Any ideas?

I like them blanched then roasted with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and cherry tomatoes

I like them roasted with garlic, salt, olive oil red onion and pine nuts and then drizzle the whole lot with balsamic vinegar when it's out the oven. Yummy!

Blanched, then sauteed gently in olive oil with anchovies, garlic, chilli and a squeeze of lemon juice to finish. Mmmm.

I cook them then drain, add butter, chopped garlic and salt and pepper, and cook for another minute

One of the best things I’ve ever eaten is tempura green beans with a sesame, soy and garlic dressing.

I think they do something similar at Sushi Samba.

Better than chips.

Sauté with olive oil, salt crystals and garlic

Came on to say tempura but I was beaten to it!

Don't let any water touch them - that is the key. Either fry with butter or oil and other nice things, or roast. Roasted green beans are a revalation.

I mostly toss them with oil and salt and garlic and roast in a hot oven for ten mins. Then add salmon fillets to the oven tray for a final ten minutes and that's the world's easiest dinner.

Crush a clove of garlic, add to some olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss the beans in this after steaming or boiling... Love it!!!

I've never tried roasted. Must!

I’m going to try them roasted. Hadn’t thought of it but saw it on a cooking show yesterday

I like them mixed with peas. Just seem to really compliment each other.Smile
