What do you think? Of all the ones I’ve seen I like this one. Not the layout, mine would be very different.

emma8t4 your kitchen is traditional. I like it and it is nothing like the op's.

emma8t4 · 26/08/2020 09:33

Felineflutter i mentioned that mine was a shaker style not modern but I commented because of the similar blue that some people commented would be cold, I don’t think it’s cold at all.

I think it’ll go out of fashion very quickly. If you want pink I would go for more of a classic shaker style and have it painted the colour you want - it can be repainted when you tire of it. The “slab” type of kitchen door is more difficult to change as it’s usually made of melamine or something.

And thanks!

victoriasponge678 · 26/08/2020 09:37

Have you looked at the magnet Luna range ?

We are going with the cabinets in a light grey - can't decide Matt or gloss, and island in the dark grey with contrasting worktops ?

We are not having wall cabinets so hopefully will look clean and hopefully not having tiles - just a glass splash back

AlwaysLatte · 26/08/2020 09:40

I think it's lovely, but I would worry that it might date quickly.

Elsiebear90 · 26/08/2020 09:43

I love it, wouldn’t worry about it becoming dated as by the time it does that it will be time to replace it anyway. Very few kitchens stand the test of the time regardless of style.

nevergoingoutagain · 26/08/2020 09:52

It will date really quickly. No pony buying something fashionable for a kitchen. It's expensive you need it to last!

I'd go for white or cream units if you want that style.

WhatamessIgotinto · 26/08/2020 10:01

I don't like it at all I'm afraid. I think that going for a very 'in' style with a kitchen is only a good idea if you change your kitchen every 5 years which very few people do! Or are happy to live with a dated look.

JustAPassingFashion · 26/08/2020 10:02

I love it but think it's quite 'now'. You may not like it in a few years

Bl3ss3dm0m · 26/08/2020 10:52

I love the pastle colours in pink and blue. However, I really dislike the wooden looking add on to the island - it looks really out of place. I hate what looks like a gold trim, which looks cheap and naff to me. I would even hate it if it was 22ct solid gold, but as I love copper I might like it in that, but I still don't think so.
I know you said that your layout will be very different, I certainly hope you don't have a cupboard above your sink, I would not want to be staring close quarters at a cupboard whilst working at my sink. Lastly, the sink in the photo does not have a draining board, but having lived for many years in a kitchen without a built in draining board, my advice is, don't. My preference would be for grooves cut into whatever the counter tops are made of, but stainless steel ones are okay if the sink is also stainless steel. After all that OP, as many pp have said, if you love it, then go for it!
