Just finished watching the Baywatch film. It was so bad and cheesy I couldnt stop laughing. Really enjoyed it.

What bad films do you love?

Definitely showgirls. So awful it's achieved cult status.

Roadhouse is an absolute gem of a movie.

there is a movie that i suspect has been quietly withdrawn from any kind of streaming called Soul Man. this followed a student who blacked up in order to take advantage of a scholarship for people of colour, to get into his first choice of college. jaw-droppingly awful.

Mannequin is a bit of a weird one. man falls in love with actual shop dummy, has sex with her in giant shop window, hilarity ensues...

fucknuckle · 13/08/2020 19:07

i stand corrected (and astonished) - Soul Man is on prime video...

icebearforpresident · 13/08/2020 19:09

How did I forget Pacific Rim!? Worth it for just for Idris Elba shouting ‘WE ARE CANCELLING THE APOCALYPSE!!

The second one is even better (as in the worse, and therefore better)

ShrimpSymphony · 13/08/2020 19:11

Roadhouse and Grease 2

waiting4arainbow · 13/08/2020 19:14

Cry Baby. It's the cheesiest thing I've ever watched but I love it! I loved it when I was younger and I still do now there's something about Johnny Depp in it 😍.
If you fancy it I seen it was on Netflix!

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 13/08/2020 19:15

Zombeavers..catchy song too

Sharknado..especially the later films where it got more and more bonkers..Time travel!

Return of killer tomatoes..George Clooney..didnt expect to see him in it

The Happening..Mark Walbergs acting is something else!!

The Room...we went to a screening at London with Tommy and Greg...him singing Layla to me was a intresting moment..wrong words haha but never mind!

claptomania · 13/08/2020 19:17

Bad/good is my favourite film genre.
Apparently there is a truly dreadful 90s version of The Island of Doctor Moreau that was so embarrassingly terrible that the actors have all tried to bury it. About once a year I try to see if it’s streaming anywhere, but no luck so far.

@TheVanguardSix

Top Secret! One of Val Kilmers first films when he was at his most beautiful. Also one of the earlier spoof style movies. It's awful but I love it.

No! No! I won't have it! It is not awful! It's got a singing horse. It's sheer brilliance. Grin No but seriously, it is in my top 10. I saw it in the theatre when I was 12. My brother and I still throw quotes from that film at each other. It's one of my favourite cheeseball films, along with National Lampoon's Vacation, the very first one. I have a weird crush on Chevy Chase in that film. But wasn't Val Kilmer beautiful?!

I'm glad you agree with me @TheVanguardSix - my DH watched it with me during lockdown as we found it on Prime. He kept looking at me like this Hmm throughout the film as he thought it was the worst thing he'd ever seen and I was loving it Grin
Glenthebattleostrich · 13/08/2020 19:36

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts

Also adding sharknado I have seen all of them. Dh refuses to watch them 😂

I've seen Netflix have one called zombeavers which I might have to watch next time dh is out 🤣

Zombeavers is so bad it's hilarious. It's just absolutely genius.
PoodleMoth · 13/08/2020 19:50

I forgot about Zombeavers! Yep, so bad it's great!

1FootInTheRave · 13/08/2020 20:02

The wrong missy.

I found strangely endearing 😳

Thebookswereherfriends · 13/08/2020 20:05

Rampage - it has The Rock in it who has to stop some massive, mutated animals from destroying Chicago. I was going through a phase of watching anything with The Rock because they’re just entertaining!

I definitely recommend it if you want to just lose yourself in silliness and listing plot holes.

Izzy30 · 13/08/2020 20:10

Waterworld. Terrible film but I love watching it every few years and always really enjoy it. Also Troy with Brad Pitt.

TheMarzipanDildo · 13/08/2020 20:14

I’d never heard of Zombeavers- what a name Grin

DodgeRainClouds · 13/08/2020 20:33

Strictly Ballroom an early 90’s quirky Australian film about ballroom dancing. It’s awesome and terrible in one!

SHIRLEY HASTINGS:

I keep asking myself why.

Did I do something wrong?

Did I fail him as a mother?

burnoutbabe · 13/08/2020 21:09

Day after tomorrow is not a bad movie! It's a good disaster movie!
I watch if every time it's on
And "deep impact"

Added BAIT to my Netflix list and it has Julian mchanon who was sexy in home and away and charmed and some show about plastic surgeons so I am happy!

I saw crawl at the cinema, I liked it! Good to have a strong female lead in stuff.

IdblowJonSnow · 13/08/2020 21:13

Point Break! "Young, dumb and full of cum" etc.
Keanu and Patrick were so beautiful back in the day.
Tbf it wasnt awful at the time but I bet it would be now.
Agree with Grease 2!

IdblowJonSnow · 13/08/2020 21:15

Oh god yes PP, the dialogue in Troy was just awful especially at the end when he's dying with the whole "Stay/go" exchange.

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 13/08/2020 21:15

Gone in 60 seconds - love it, it’s terrible. Robert Duvall must have needed the money.
Con Air - yep, Nick Cage again. World’s worst actor but you can’t look away Grin.

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 13/08/2020 21:16

And yes to Troy!
