For anyone who is interested - M&S food is on Ocado

Do a search for M&S. I can see the range, 4672 items, but it's all showing out of stock. Looks like some decent products to substitute the Waitrose Essentials range.

Says deliveries from 15th Sept.

@EachandEveryone

Will they have the Dine in for £12?
@EachandEveryone

Dine In was mentioned in the email Ocado sent out recently 😊

GiantKitten · 06/08/2020 12:58

There isn’t an M&S Food handy for us so I’m not very familiar but we’ve used Dine In on holiday and loved the main courses!

I’m tempted to start ordering with Ocado I haven’t used them for about 3 years. Before lockdown I was having Asda deliveries but of course that became impossible and I’ve done the weekly shop myself ever since. But I find Asda so unreliable with their stock now that I’m considering going back to Ocado and I love M&S fruit - and their treats of course!

AdaColeman · 06/08/2020 13:21

I'm sure Ocado will retain things like their Picard shop. Civilisation would grind to a halt without escargots with garlic butter! Wine

TheChosenTwo · 06/08/2020 14:34

I got an email to say the app was working again, about a few weeks ago now?

Venicelover · 06/08/2020 14:55

I have a delivery pass but can't see any slots beyond August 27th. Am I doing something wrong?

AuntieStella · 06/08/2020 15:02

I doubt your doing anything wrong - slots are released at different times depending on which hub does your address

Juiceey · 06/08/2020 19:01

My app still not working. I miss it!

Yellowbutterfly1 · 06/08/2020 19:41

@Venicelover
The only reason I have a delivery booked in September is because I now have Ocado Reserved. Before I had it I could only get a slot up to 3 weeks in advance

ChickenDipper28 · 06/08/2020 20:00

@SuperPixie247
I couldn't use discount when it was Waitrose so I'm guessing not ☹️

Excited for M&S deliveries though 😬

FreekStar · 07/08/2020 14:16

I've just booked my order for the 4th of Sept- beyond excited to be able to get M&S Cheese Tasters and their Buttermints- yippee- and also the little bags od dark chocolate covered rice-cakes- ocado never did decent versions of any of these! Going to miss the waitrose outdoor reared pork sausage rolls though, but that's about all. Waitrose is over-rated! Only loved by southerners!

FreekStar · 07/08/2020 14:17

Picard pizzas are THE best!

AdaColeman · 07/08/2020 14:37

Here's hoping Ocado tie up with Booths next! Wink

Ellmau · 07/08/2020 18:17

I’m a bit concerned if they will have enough stock to meet demand.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 07/08/2020 18:21

It is very interesting to see the waitrose offers side by side with the M&S (although products just uploaded and can't order til sept 1) and every single thing I looked at will be more expensive with M&S.

I think I'll do basics from Ocado but will def change how I use it as I will miss waitrose.

FreekStar · 08/08/2020 08:14

Really @mumsiedarlingrevolta I saw the opposite- the M&S equivalents were the same price or slightly less for the items I looked at.

AuntieStella · 08/08/2020 08:27

I was looking again.

I think they are still adding M&S products.

I noticed that they haven't really got round to things like budget bubble bath and other toiletries yet - I suppose the scents available in those won't exactly match, but I'm hoping there will be 3 or more choices as before (I miss the 'bluebell' which went out of stock early, also the 'chamomile'). I'm hoping the Florentyna range will appear.

What I said above about Pinot Grig no longer applies - a price match one has been added.

I've checked a few things that I buy regularly, and there is equivalent for all but one of them - that is either price matched or similar (latter usually because it's a bigger pack so they made the price per 100g lower - better VFM, though more expensive)

The one that's still not featured is ready Spinach Mornay - they do have ready creamed spinach. So even if exact dish doesn't get loaded in next few weeks, it's still a spinach side, just not the same one.

TweetUsOnFacebook · 08/08/2020 17:20

It's annoying that they don't have a name for M&S items like 'Waitrose Essentials' which is what I used to search for to find the cheaper basics. I'm resorting to typing in 'M&S' and setting it price low-high. Finding new stuff daily.
I can't believe how excited I am to get my first M&S order Blush

I hope there will be a replacement for recycled loo roll, as there's nothing at the moment.

Juiceey · 08/08/2020 22:03

yeah I wish they had an 'essentials' range too.

EachandEveryone · 11/08/2020 14:17

I hope my president butter is still there😃😃

Swelteringmeltering · 11/08/2020 14:23

Whoever mentioned Picard and relets!!

What wonderful ranges. I would have never found those usually! The only range I know of is natoora which is excellent quality.

Swelteringmeltering · 11/08/2020 14:24

I'm very (ridiculously) excited by the change. I've become fed up in many ways with waitrose recently.
I'm excited to try their stuff, I hope we can get the French bread... It's far superior to waitrose FB. Prefer theirs puddings too.

Swelteringmeltering · 11/08/2020 14:25

Omg, sorry for the 3rd post but my eye just saw Booths

That would be a killer combination for ocado. I'm already kicking myself that I didn't buy any shares!

FreekStar · 11/08/2020 14:30

I don't rate Natoora at all! I've stopped ordering anything from their range as the fruit and veg is always well past it's best and often rotten, wisened and small.
