Silly revenge pranks on neighbours?

We're moving into our new home next month and the neighbours here moved in nearly two years ago they have made our life hell since. Rang social service twice rang the police a good 5 times during lockdown saying we was abusing the kids. OH lost it with her and knocked the door and she was shaking waving her finger in his face saying your abusing them kids!!

Very odd couple he's young and she looks old they have had lots of swinging parties going on until early hours of the morning. Some of the things we have heard still give us nightmares.

Harmless but funny pranks we want to keep her entertained for the next month Grin

Confused How about you act like adults and move on instead?

Don't bring trouble to your own door.

WitchesGlove · 29/07/2020 01:48

How do you know it was them that rang the social services on you?

CuppaZa · 29/07/2020 02:10
Hmm
Lifeisconfusing · 29/07/2020 02:21

They sound horrible but I wonder why they even suggested you abuse your kids!!
We had problems with our old neighbours keep parking in our bay my dh wanted revenge but I think the biggest revenge is to move on and be happy. Go be happy and don’t look back.

Aquamarine1029 · 29/07/2020 02:24

Perhaps they were reporting your abuse of grammar.

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 29/07/2020 02:50

What about knocking on their front door and running away and hiding? We used to do this when we were eight or nine and thought it was really funny.
Do you do a paper round? If so give them the wrong paper.
Cycle past their house and ring your bell a lot.
Go round to their house and say you've lost your football in their garden, ask if you can go in and look for it.
Pretend you're Carol singers (in August!!!)

kazzer2867 · 29/07/2020 03:14
Hmm

Biscuit
Boomerwang · 29/07/2020 04:51

Why do they think you're abusing your kids? What did the police do when they came round? They would have talked to them afterwards.

pranking your neighbours because of their concern for your children, rightly or wrongly... that makes you the dickhead.

Nitpickpicnic · 29/07/2020 05:21

I would never be so juvenile as to recommend revenge pranks. Plus there’s quite the buffet of suggestions available online, some very dark and others involving products like Liquid Ass. Don’t believe them when they say it doesn’t work in the open air. Grin

EatsShootsAndRuns · 29/07/2020 05:58

Rang social service twice rang the police a good 5 times during lockdown saying we was abusing the kids

How do you know it was those neighbours? Hmm

You sound about 6, talking of pranks. Grow up. I wonder what the neighbours’ side of this would be.

AlwaysCheddar · 29/07/2020 07:05

It would be so childish to get revenge, like hide prawns in their flowers/bushes as they would smell and attract foxes...

BertieBassettsBits · 29/07/2020 07:24

And yet, you think they are odd?
Grow up.
I'd be more concerned that they were OK if the reports were unjustified

gingerbeerandlemonade · 29/07/2020 07:25

Please grow up. If you have children then you're setting an appalling example to them.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 29/07/2020 07:27

^^This

DappledThings · 29/07/2020 07:42

Grow up. You're being ridiculous.

JoeCalFuckingZaghe · 29/07/2020 07:44

I can see this getting deleted in a sort time.

0/10 for trolling though, no adults should act like petty children.

KatherineJaneway · 29/07/2020 07:44

Someone's been on the Wine

Nighttown · 29/07/2020 09:39

Maybe them reporting you for child abuse was their idea of a hilarious neighbour prank?

Splitsunrise · 29/07/2020 10:28

I’d leave it right until the last moment until you do these pranks...

longwayoff · 29/07/2020 12:29

So glad you're not my neighbour

isthisyearoverit · 31/07/2020 18:59

Arrived home today with my mum as she was watching the kids while me and OH went to the tip.

Police arrived within15 minutes apparently she seen me Wack the kids whilst we was getting out off the car.

Counting down the days until we move I really have had enough.

She has also made another report to social services as I received another call yesterday.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 31/07/2020 19:45

Can you put a complaint in with the Police and Social services that she's harrassing you?
Surely if they have been called that many times they already know it's all unfounded.

TheMumblesofMumbledom · 31/07/2020 19:52

So you're not moving in until August but they've already done X Y Z?

Do grow up...

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 31/07/2020 19:56

I have a neighbour I absolutely hate. We have had several run ins with him. He thinks he is a total hard man, and my landlord or something (I own my house). Don't want to give too much detail, but I have a feeling he's about to steal a bit of council land that runs round the side of our property. He's already told dp it belongs to him and we should keep off it. All the other residents in the street and the visitors to the street are fine to go on it though 🙄. If he does, I'm going to report him straight to the council. I actually can't wait. Theme thought of it is making me far too excited 😂
