I just want to be in the house ON MY OWN (lighthearted. Sort of)

So I realised this week that I have not been in the house on my own, without DH and two teenagers since February half term.

I am now off for 6 bloody weeks, after only returning to work (school based) a few weeks ago. I really enjoy my job, and was happy to be busy again after 12 weeks sat at home doing nothing.

DH working from home, teenagers out at times but not so much as before. I am bored of the same four walls already, bored of the same walks I have done everyday for the last few months, bored of everything. Our holiday was cancelled, family quite far away and vulnerable.

Anyway, I think if they all just pissed off out and left me alone I would be happier! Does anyone else feel the same?

Six weeks of them all in the house with me is going to tough...……

Come and stay with me @Silverstar2

I have the whole house to myself. Its blissfully quiet (I'm on MN so there may some giggling 😁) and there's a spare double room. I'm not known for chatter - well it would be weird as I live alone... so you'd get no interference from me! In fact I'd barely acknowledge your presence!🍷

Me too. I just want to scream at them all to fuck off.

Same.
The DC's have been home alone when I've taken the other child for a walk / run.
Whereas I'm stuck listening to them every waking hour of every single day.

If DH is off can’t the take the dc out somewhere for a chunk of the day to give you some space. You could get some of your favourite food in and do what ever makes you happy.
Your DH possibly even feels the same way and you could repay the favour.

I feel the same way and my dc do too.
My poor dts share a room and even when they were at school for key workers club they were in the same bubble.

Pre covid my WFH days were my days to myself. Loved being home alone and in peace. Miss those days now. Had a day at home today with everyone out and about and feel the better for it.Smile

A friend of mine (and her daughter) cheered and clapped her DH off when he finally returned to work this week. He was acutally pretty stoical about it Grin.
