If you like cheesy rom coms its one of the better ones.

Redcrayons · 19/07/2020 21:24

Run of the mill chick flick. It’s alright, if you’ve nothing else to watch.

Ps Gerald Butler is supposed to be Irish.

heartsonacake · 19/07/2020 21:24

I love it; I think it’s beautiful and it made me cry. I’d definitely recommend it.

DazzleCamouflage · 19/07/2020 21:25

It's one of the worst films I've ever seen.

ChangeThePassword · 19/07/2020 21:26

I agree with RedCrayons.

itsureis · 19/07/2020 21:26

I hated it and I love a rom com !!

Ohdeariedear · 19/07/2020 21:27

It’s appallingly cheesy but it’ll kill an hour or two.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 19/07/2020 21:27

Absolute shit. The book was amazing. The film was awful.

Overseasmom100 · 19/07/2020 21:27

Mixed bag here Grin
Going to start watching The Bodyguard uk series not Whitney film

Crystal87 · 19/07/2020 21:28

It's ok. It's quite cheesy but some of it is depressing.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 19/07/2020 21:28

Schmaltzy garbage

RightOnTheEdge · 19/07/2020 21:28

Loved the book, hated the film.
The film might be OK if you haven't read the book first though.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 19/07/2020 21:28

The Bodyguard tv series is much better

JonHammIsMyJamm · 19/07/2020 21:29

I thought the book was shite too, tbf, so I’m probably not the target audience

nancybotwinbloom · 19/07/2020 21:31

Sobbed at the book, sobbed at the film

JackiesArmy · 19/07/2020 21:32

It is utterly crap. Especially the faux Irish accents and the out-of-focus scenery. I put it in the same category as Far and Away (Tom Cruise at his worst).

overweightcat · 19/07/2020 21:35

Didn't read the book but watched the film albeit years ago and it did make me cry at the time.

Summerfortheages · 19/07/2020 21:35

But Jeffery Dean Morgan - wow! He was in his prime in this. Worth the watch just to see him. I rewatched it last night l. It’s a cute film, not really a rom com and quite poignant at times.

Userzzz · 19/07/2020 21:36

A bit cheesy but I liked it. I cried.

BarbarAnna · 19/07/2020 21:36

I love a rom com but I hated the book and hated the movie more. The acting is also cringe!

AriettyHomily · 19/07/2020 21:38

Twee.

CherryBakewell85 · 19/07/2020 21:38

I found it really sad, but I did like it. Not necessarily a feel good film!

bubblesforlife · 19/07/2020 21:38

Ya it’s worth a watch! Have the tissues nearby, it’s a tear jerker

kayakingmum · 19/07/2020 21:40

I liked it. Was in floods of tears when I watched it.

mum2jakie · 19/07/2020 21:42

Thought the book was crap so have never bothered with the film. Hope you enjoy it though!
