Describing masks as 'muzzles'. Who the hell came up with it? It's so stupid and ruined the dementor threads for me.

happypotamus · 27/07/2020 15:51

Oh, I read the title and my answer was "Muuumm," especially when followed with "in Minecraft..."
Everyone else's answers are much more global/ outside their own little box.

The4ks · 27/07/2020 16:02

Hate the word hack as in 'life hack'. When did it stop just being a tip?!

Soubriquet · 27/07/2020 16:06

Why would they need to point out about the pandemic on a thread about school shoes?

Surely kids will still need school shoes regardless of the virus

Lockdown. Lockdown ended as far as I’m concerned when Primark opened.

It wasn’t even a proper lockdown compared to Italy and Spain.

I know - but they managed to shoehorn (Grin) it in nonetheless. I think for some people life nowadays should entirely consist of us huddled in our houses, wearing our masks, frantically applying hand sanitiser and muttering “ Global pandemic, don’t you know” over and over again.
Batshittery · 27/07/2020 17:18

A previous poster said 'living my best life' - please tell me that people don't really say that shit?? Shock

Should I report my neighbour for xyz- we have turned into a nation of curtain twitching 'reporters'

VioletCharlotte · 27/07/2020 17:26

I was just thinking about this earlier.

Social distancing - doesn't even make sense in the context most people use it. Should be physical distancing.

"Do they not realise, we're in in the middle of a global pandemic??" (Used whenever someone makes a risk assessment different to ones own)

Allmyeye · 27/07/2020 17:31

Mental health

Every single phrase they have thought up during this pandemic. Every time anyone says them I want to knock them out.

Also, not only are people adding a random "like" into their sentences while speaking, they are also doing it when writing now too. I've noticed it a few times on here, and a couple of people I know do it in texts too!

It's not necessarily non essential, it's just that the poster doesn't like/want/need it.

I appreciate that there are times when these words are appropriate, but certainly not with the frequency that they appear on MN. Some people are just cunts - they don't warrant a label.

plplz · 20/08/2020 13:53

Its actually pronounced "Coverd"
