Where would be your fave purity places to stay when in North Norfolk?

We have been a few years ago and the only thing I do know is I didn’t like Hunstanton

But I’ve heard such good things about Norfolk as an area that there must be lovely places there

Holkham Beach is really lovely!

ProfessorRapson · 17/07/2020 12:06

A good starting point is to look at villages on and around the coast road between Holme-next-the-Sea and Sheringham - lots of beautiful villages and things to do.

LePimpernelScarlette · 17/07/2020 12:44

Wells Next the Sea
Blakeney
Stiffkey
Thornham
Holkham

North Norfolk is my favourite place. Endless beaches, great food, massive skies, fantastic walking.

LetTheBirdsSing · 17/07/2020 13:55

Brancaster or Thornham!

Gingaaarghpussy · 17/07/2020 14:22

Not cromer
Not sheringham
Not mundesley
Not wells.
Definitely not gt yarmouth
They're all to crowded. I know because I live in north norfolk.
Happisburgh
Bacton
Walcott
Waxham
Are all less popular.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 17/07/2020 15:28

Kelling.

jessstan2 · 17/07/2020 15:37

Wells next the Sea
Blakeney
North Walsham
Brancaster
Stiffkey

It's all lovely up there.

bloodywhitecat · 17/07/2020 15:42

Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster, Holkham, Mundesley.

bloodywhitecat · 17/07/2020 15:43

Oh and Happisburgh

MIgZig · 17/07/2020 15:43

Brancaster

Justonedayatatime11 · 17/07/2020 16:42

Anywhere. Nowhere is more perfect than Norfolk right now.

MrsExpo · 17/07/2020 16:43

Go a little way inland and stay in Fakenham. Easy access to the coast and not as populated (and they have a brill Tesco's and one of the best fish and chip shops i've ever been in).

cgirl16 · 17/07/2020 16:44

We’ve just got back from Blakeney! Heaven on Earth.

AnneBullen · 17/07/2020 16:44

Holt or surrounds.... its very rural there with beautiful countryside and lots of lovely farm shops and delis and lovely pubs and Holt is very naice (I like a bit of naice). Easy reach to the lovely beaches. I do like Wells the best but hoping to explore more beaches this summer.

PseuDenim · 17/07/2020 16:49

Cley-next-the-Sea - best bakery ever plus a smokehouse plus an amazing beach a walk away

yeOldeTrout · 17/07/2020 17:12

What do you like to do, OP?
Fine dining, admire the beach, swim in a river, climb the dunes, wander around the ruins?

jessstan2 · 17/07/2020 17:18

Anne Bullen, Holt has a lovely book shop.

Op, Holkham beach is seven miles of sand and sand dunes, absolutely beautiful.

Gingaaarghpussy · 17/07/2020 17:45

Cley is hell during the holiday season, so many people have 2nd homes there, plus the road are narrow.

RiverCrossing · 17/07/2020 17:59

Happisburgh is beautiful. Clippesby Hall is a nice place to stay with plenty close by to do but it’s not really North Norfolk. Holkham is stunning.

Clippsby hall is near great yarmouth which is in north Norfolk
bloodywhitecat · 17/07/2020 20:19

Great Yarmouth is not North Norfolk, it's not far from Lowestoft which is in Suffolk. Happisburgh falls under North Norfolk as the North Norfolk coast runs down to about Waxham.

Gingaaarghpussy · 17/07/2020 20:23

Gt yarmouth is still in norfolk.

bloodywhitecat · 17/07/2020 20:25

It is but it is not north Norfolk.

LunaNorth · 17/07/2020 20:33

Omg, all of it.

Salthouse, Wells, Blakeney, Bale, Holt, Weyburn, Letheringsett, Holkham.

Heaven.

LunaNorth · 17/07/2020 20:35

Great Yarmouth is in the South of Norfolk. I spent all of my childhood holidays just outside it, in Caister.

Happiest of happy days.
