I'm home alone briefly and feel like crap. I'm watching Captain Marvel again. The familiarity is soothing.

I'm quite odd, my go-to comfort films are the apocalyptic disaster movies. I don't know why, I think I watch them to convince myself things could be worse.

Rio Bravo - John Wayne and Dean Martin. I watch it a couple of times a week, and always have it on while baking. It’s like hanging out with friends at this stage.

I know it's a weird one, but I love 'Angela's Ashes'. I cry my eyes out. It's the kind of film that has such darkness and really funny moments too. My fave!

Off topic but Captain Marvel (which I really like) has a bloody amazing soundtrack. I don’t mean the 90s songs but the original score. I downloaded it last month and have listened to it nearly every day. Gives me a lift.

pickingdaisies · 13/07/2020 19:23

Sleepless in Seattle. High Society. Singing in the Rain. Little Miss sunshine. Especially Little Miss Sunshine. I think I might add The Greatest Showman to that list. Mmm, Hugh Jackman.
